Pretty low quality sponges, but I guess that's what you get for this price. If you just run water over the sponge, it almost looks like the water is rolling off of the sponge instead of absorbing into the material. If you squeeze the sponge before submersing it in water, then it seems to retain some water for a little while, but you can visually watch the water draining out of the sponge.These sponges are great for an application where you might ruin them quickly or possibly one-time-use applications if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a sponge that you are just going to destroy.

These will do the job I guess, but they're not the texture I was looking for. I was looking for those thick dense ones to wash a car with. Found them at auto supply store. These are just wasting space in the junk area, but I'm sure they would work fine for other things.

Basic sponges, nice and cheep, and you won't feel guilty when they get dirty and you toss them out. They start out very small and don't take up any storage space, they make good backup sponges for any cleaning. They have no scrubbing side, but this keeps them appropriate for anything you don't necessarily want to scrub, perhaps paint you don't want to scratch. They expand to a great size, and hold water/soap, buy them.

They have NOT fallen apart, they are NOT poor quality, they DO look like the pictures. They're foam sponges, not meant to be the strongest, but if you want a sponge for car washing that is soft on your car paint, these will work. And when unopened they don't take up much room. One thing tho, they don't absorb water off your car, so you will have to wipe it down. I use wash & wax and hose it all off, it dries OK in the sun, I then do a final wipe and I'm done.

I bout this pack for its assorted colors.... I am disappointed that I did not get 5 different colors. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but I purchased these for a specific color-coding project. I hope the quality is better than my color selection . Also I didn't realize they were expanding sponges....seller should really edit their listing

These are mostly garbage! They shred easily. There is another 5-pack offering for about a dollar more that last much longer. I will never buy these again but I’ll explain. I use them for cleaning cars and bicycles. If not subjected to any irregular surfaces, they seem to do OK. For my purposes, they are terrible. Every time I used them there are chunks of sponge left on my driveway.I really have no idea how these obtained an average rating of 4 stars. But like many Amazon ratings, they don't reflect reality. I can only think that, again, for smooth car surfaces they hold up ok and if they shred, you have four more so who gives a rip? Not sure.Please do yourself a favor and skip these.

The product was actually great for a sponge relay we had for 2nd grade. It was easy for the kids to squeeze the water out. I unfortunately got only 4 sponges and they were 2 yellow and 2 blue. But it still worked out for what I needed.

Good product.Not much to say. Work for what i needed them for - cleaning my road bike. Have to be a bit careful not to tear them when cleaning around the gears. Reuse them. So far have only needed two - one that I use for cleaning areas of bike with heavy grease (i.e., gear areas), the other for areas with just average dirt and grime such as bike frame and forks
