Q: Has anyone ever managed to make this work on Plusnet?

Yes this evening. You need an openreach modem the plusnet modem and router combined can't be used as a bridge. Buy one for £15 on ebay connect dsl to it then lan on it to Internet on a7 get the plusnet credentials from them ie username and password login to the a7 software and away you go!

Q: Can i use this instead of my terrible virgin router to improve my wifi signal

Yes you can. That’s exactly what I did. I never lost WiFi connection ever since. All you have to do is go to your virgin media router settings. Disable router mode and leave it to do its job. I used a Cat8 Ethernet cable to connect the Virgin router to the TP link router for faster speed. Hope that helps.

Q: Will this work with a ee smart hub? if so how do i setup? do i keep the ee hub as a modem?

I had a customer that had fttp installed and was using an EE hub, the A7 was being used in access point mode and getting the speeds up to the same as the EE hub was an issue, apparently EE configure their hubs so you have to buy their mesh system but by going into the settings on the A7 and changing channels and frequencies you can get past the issue.
