ErvaSB5 Hanging Disk Baffle, Green, 22.5-Inch

I have some Irish moss planted in a repurposed fountain bowl in my garden. That part of the garden gets full sun & the moss is only supposed to get part sun. I needed something large enough to hang above it to block some of the sun. This squirrel baffle was the perfect size & it’s durable & weather proof. I got a little creative with it. It looked like a giant lily pad so I got some little frogs & glued them on it. Perfect addition to my garden.

I needed to find a wide diameter baffle to stop a local cat, who can jump straight up over 6 feet, from "dunking" the birds in the platform feeder. I drilled 4 holes in the feeder so there was a cross web for the baffle to hang from - and voilà - no more cat attacks. The baffle is wide enough to interfere with the cat's trajectory...so he quickly retreated to the bushes, and now just "observes" the birds as they feast. And he understands he can't defeat the baffle, so he leaves the yard - so the birds have the yard to themselves most of the day. Wonderful! Definitely worth the money to save the birds' lives!

Very well made. Now let’s see the squirrels chew through this like they do with the plastic one. My only complaint is they could spend a dime and put a label on it that peels off, not the paper label that doesn’t.John

It first appeared to be too big when I took it out of the box, but when I hung it up it was perfect size. It helps keep the bird feeder dry.

I have three of these baffles, when hung correctly, they absolutely keep the squirrels out of my feeders, quite expensive, but when I add up the cost of seed that the squirrels eat, they are well worth it, would highly recommend !

Looks nice, good quality construction - just hung it up and am looking forward to seeing how well it works. Have a couple of complaints. It shipped in a box way to big and just rattling around with no filler packing and box split open on two sides (although the unit it was wrapped). And what's up with manufacturers using crappy label glue. Took me 45 minutes to get the glue/label residue off (I tried three solvents and then ended up using a food scraper and hot water). It's the year 2022 and the world has wonderful adhesives for any application. And I can spend my time doing better things. I've now also ordered a competing product so anxious to see if that product also works well, and maybe they'll know something about glue.

This squirrel baffle works very well. Was having trouble with raccoons pulling down the suet feeder altogether and then would have to go around the yard looking for it. This baffle is nice and wide and have had no trouble with raccoons since it was put up. Have ordered a second one.

Expensive product, but it worked. I tried numerous ways to keep the squirrels out of my birdfeeder, but this baffle completely stymied them. Now the birds are enjoying the seeds, and I don’t need to refill the feeder every day due to pesky squirrels.
