Little complicated to understand but I don't know much about cabala

This book is a review of the history and personal clinical experiences of a Kabbalist dream interpretor. He wanted to document the processes of dream interpretation before the art was lost to the rationalists. As such it supports my theory that Sigmund Freud did not arrive at his great tome of The Interpretation of Dreams from his clinical experiences alone and leaned heavily on the giants of literature and knowledge, specifically Kabablah, that preceded him. Indeed he referenced this book, which is why I wanted to read it. It was not available in translation until the early nineteenth century, and then in Yiddish only. The English translation was much later than Freud's life. He follows the knowledge of this book very closely and so I believe he must have read it and not just referenced it.It gives credence to the thought that he did know Yiddish and /or Hebrew as he denied.This book is extremely important but I suspect would only appeal to a narrow range of people's interest.The translation is excellent with notes and explanations by the author.

While there are other books by other authors on the same subject matter out there, I kept searching for what I considered the best book on the topic. All fingers pointed to this book. Complete and easy to read.
