Camo Tripod

Loved this monopod! I'm mid 60's bad knees and this was perfect for hunting rough terrain. It gave me the added stability to stay on my feet. I read reviews that stated the clamping mechanisms were not secure but I had no issues at all. I loved the adjustable feature and it supported my weight very well. Wished I would have purchased sooner!

This tripod is made to endure the harshest conditions for an extended period of time. Its lightweight aluminum legs make a difference on those long back country hunts. Don't let the plastic clips for the legs fool you they are very sturdy and do not creep down at all when you use it. The rubber coated rest protects your valued hunting gear and doesn't mar the finish on wood stocks. For those who worry if it will be tall enough to use while standing know that it will be tall enough for all who use it if you take the time to adjust it correctly. Overall excellent product

This tripod is great for using in a blind. A little heavy and cumbersom if out in the bush but if you can grab a seat this adjusts well and will definitely stabilize you. I can see how the plastic latches are a bit low quality so take care of it to avoid breaking them. Overall the cradle is nice and wide but works with many different gun stocks, legs adjust well and have feet or you can screw them in for the spike. Not sure of a good price comparison and considered a monopod at first but I am glad I bought the tripod version instead.

Since writing the review, BOG has reached out with superb customer service. Very professional, apologetic and helpful. I HAVE REVISED MY REVIEW ACCORDINGLY. FIVE STARS FOR SURE!. Unfortunately - Zero rating for BOG customer support! Third Bog tripod. Tripod and camera grip arrived and stayed packed while awaiting scope. Spotting scope arrived - all unpacked and BOG tripod leg brace was cracked and unable to lock in place. Repairable with one piece. Amazon directs me to BOG customer support. Four attempts at correspondence stating I would fix it if they would send me a part. First acknowledgment was computerized reply with customer support ticket number. Three more subsequent attempts (documented) went unanswered over the course of a month. Now Amazon return date has expired. Bought a broken tripod and got the proverbial ping-pong of terrible customer support. Duct tape and a non collapsible leg is what I end up with. Most will get a product that works but be advised if you have a problem, your chances are slim to none it will be professionally resolved.

Very well built, lightweight, and versatile. I ordered one for evaluation and will be placing an order for a second one soon. Idaho elk hunt, here we come!

This is a great product for the price. I carry this in my hunting pack. The quick head change is great for shooting, spotting scope, and bino’s. I have had one for years and purchased this one for a gift for my brother. I’ve shot Elk and Deer standing and sitting using the adjustable legs!

Love BOG products and have the BOG DeathGrip as well. Bought this one because I like the switcheroo feature. I bought a couple of plates for different spotting scopes and bino attachments. The switcheroo is great, even the base (cradle rest) head is great. However, there is a weird quirk that you cannot lock out the legs in any position, nor do they auto-lock at any angle. So, on a slick surface applying weight on the top can cause the legs to keep spreading out wider and wider, thereby causing your tripod to slip lower and lower. I experienced this with a Leupold SX-4 Pro Guide HD Spotting Scope which is only 62 oz when standing on a wet, wooden deck. When I put any pressure on the top of the scope to steady it while viewing the tripod's legs splayed out. In the end I had to use a small cargo strap around the legs to fix them at the correct angle, after that they did not move. Just a quirk, not a deal breaker for me, I just pack the strap with me.

Item work as expected

Sehr solider, stabiler Pirsch-Stock, der sich 3-fach ausziehen lässt und somit auch für große Menschen gut geeignet ist. Der Griff und die Gabel zur Gewehrauflage sind ebenfalls sehr angenehm und massiv ausgeführt. Das etwas höhere Gewicht im Vergleich zu anderen Pirschstöcken ist dem 3-fachen Auszug und der großen Ausziehhöhe geschuldet, ist aber kaum spürbar.

I bought this for my springer air rifle, which requires a very finicky hold. With only a bit of practice this produces groups just as good as sandbags when using a hybrid artillery hold. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Awesome tripod till one of the latches cracked, still trying to get replacement, c what happens dealing with bog, doesn’t seem to like the -25 c that I hunt in sometimes,
