Adequate Tire Suffers from Self-Steering
UPDATE: Turns out the air pressure was too low. Running 14-16 PSI as a tubeless setup solves self-steer for the most part. The speedster is an adequate 3" tire for converting a fat bike to a summer commuter. The primary tread along the middle offers little rolling resistance and does its job for the most part. The honeycomb pattern of the tire picks up small bits of debris along the road and flings this up into your bike's downtube and your face, which gets irritating quickly. However, the real issue with this tire is self-steer. The softer panels on either side of the tire are quite soft and over plenty of grip, but these panels create a lot of drag that compels the tire to pull left and right without much input from the rider. This isn't a deal breaker, but gets annoying over time and could be a larger issue for someone putting in long rides on this tire.As a short-trip commuter this tire is fine, but I would not buy it again simply because of its tendency to self-steer.

GREAT TIRE
I have a Fat Tire bike and ride it a LOT! It came with an off-road tire but I ride almost entirely on asphalt so I purchased these. On asphalt, these VEE tires are EXCELLENT! They are 30 psi and are designed to roll very nicely which I love. They also are great on wet pavement (just rode 24 miles in the rain today). They are cheaper from other sellers, I found them for $20.00 less on a different site so shop around. But the tires are great and I would absolutely buy them again. Please note: There seem to be 2 tread styles for this tire. The tread on the tires I received is different than the tread in the picture but I doubt it matters in terms of performance.

Not totally happy
I’m not totally happy with these tires as I’m experiencing self steer and it is annoying. I’m up to 15 psi to reduce it which then makes the ride quality suffer. They are mounted on 100mm wide Clownshoes. I was also disappointed that I couldn’t make them tubeless with fatty strippers as I could not get the tires to expand outwards enough to even come close to seating even with a large air compressor. I’m going to try again with the hope that they’ve stretched out.On the plus side they are quiet, roll fast, and haven’t been too sketchy on dirt roads.

Bigger, lighter, better.
I used to have 26X4.9 beach knobbies that came with the bike. Ugh, they were terrible on road. I ordered some Hookworm tires, but they didn't fit nicely on the massive rim width, I never road those and took the tire off the bike. Compared to the 26X2.5 Maxxis Hookworm tires I previously ordered, this tire, the 26X3.5 Vee Rubber Speedster is 100 grams LIGHTER. Bigger , lighter tire... Installing them on my Sondors rims (80mm) should work out much better than the Hookworms (bead didn't seat on the rim safely).Added a couple of pictures of the tire mounted and inflated to 18.5 psi (on road exclusively). The tire profile, although round, is slightly less so as the tire heads towards sidewall. I don't know if that make s aperformance difference on road, but my riding is always 9 miles back and forth to work.

Not cheap but well worth the investment!
I'm replacing my knobby Fat Bike tires that came with my bike. Since I ride mainly on bike paths and asphalt. The knobbies on my Fat Bike tires are noisy and somewhat bumpy. I just opened these new road tires for my Fat Bike and I am thrilled! The tread groove looks fantastic for my needs. Changing tires makes a bike feel almost like a new bike! I have two other Diamond Back dual suspended bikes. But I truly love my rigid frame Fat Bike! For $139 this pair of tires is pricey. But once you see them up close, the price is well worth it! These tires are 26x3.5. My current tires are 26x4.0. So I am hoping I won't have issues these new tires fit! Update 5/15/16, I installed Mr. Tuffys into my new tires and that was tough. Fat Bike Tuffys are so long and wide, they are more difficult keeping inserted between the inner tube and tire. Alone it took me about 30 minutes per tire. But once everything where it should be and I pumped up the tires, things went well. I love how my bike looks like now. While the tan tires draws looks and curiosity, my new black tires are smoother and quieter in comparison. I pumped my tires around 30 lbs. front and rear.

Sidewalls as tough as tissue paper
I rode this twice and the third time the sidewall blew out. It was during the Leadville 100 race and I sat on the side of the road for 90 minutes waiting for my crew to find a new fatbike tire. Totally sucked.

Fast rolling
Excellent fast rolling tires. The only issue i have on the pair that i purchased, one tire has loose beads that couldnt get to sit properly on the rim. Rendering it useless. Veetire co. is very responsive and proactive for any defect on thier tires.

Pretty much exactly what I needed for my Fat bike ...
Pretty much exactly what I needed for my Fat bike urban area riding. It's great to have 2 sets of tires to swap out as needed, 1 for streets and smooth paths, and another for off-road. The bike just glides like butter, very smooth and fast, especially after having the stock knobbies on there for awhile and getting used to those. Recommended.
