Well made, works very nicely.
Bought this to tighten up some rocker cover bolts on my Mini's engine cover. Perfect for selecting 88 inch-pounds (about 7 foot-pounds or 10 Newton metres). As that is quite a low torque setting, it was fairly essential to know all the bolts were tightened to the same value.I should also say this is still a substantial wrench (despite its quarter inch drive), and it feels well put together. The click is nice and loud as well, so no guess work involved in getting to the correct torque.Easy 5 star.

Great Torque Wrench.
Got this for my car and needed it to check and do up wheel nuts (and other things). Very good range going from 25 ftlb to 250 ftlb. Came in a nice plastic box with a reasonable set of instructions. This tool is fine for the amature mechanic and is well priced. The selection of the desired torque setting is done by twisting the end untill the twisting handle lines up with the appropriate mark. When storing it shouuld be returned to the lowest setting so as not to strain the spring. Good piece of kit that I hope to use soon. Note: it doesn't come with any sockets, you will need to supply these separately.

Works well at a good price
Works well at a good price. Good low torque values for the likes of spark plugs. Seems to have good build quality and I will use again in the future

Very usefull tool for working on motorbikes
I bought this tool because i have started working on my new and old motorbikes. Initially i bought it only for taking out the wheel nuts so i can change the tyres. It does the job! Also, without this tool i wouldn't be able to take off the front sprocket of older motorbikes, which was factory sealed and not changed in 20 years! Set the maximum torque on this wrench, and pushed it with the full force and took the sprocket out!Pros:Easy to set the torque with the included lock/unclock pin at the bottom, very heavy and very sturdy, has a nice case to store it while not using it. Also, has ft-lb on the other side, so you can set NM and FT.Cons:The tips is not locking (no lock), but it can be good if you want to tap with the hammer. If you setting NM it can be sometimes tricky to see the exact number, so you endup by roughly setting the torque. For the price this is a very good purchase!

The price
I saw the price of this thought at that it would be a massive risk in buying with intention for professional use. How surprised was I!? Upon opening the plastic black case that arrives with clips, I induced it to my hands was overwhelmed by the quality. What a massive surprise from Basics, keep it up!

Rubbish
Rubbish. Wrench had to be returned. No ‘click’ once the torque setting is reached or exceeded. I guess this is why it’s so cheap. You get what you pay for. Read the reviews and there’s a mixture of experiences.

Good value for the money
I though that it is great value for the price.Arrived in a presentation type plastic storage box and was well wrapped and protected inside. It feels quite heavy and of good quality/solid build.Other users said that it is difficult to set the correct torque settings, but it comes with some pretty idiot proof instructions and being an idiot myself, I found it realy simple to use.Others also said that the 'click' when you reach the desired setting was quiet/got harder to hear the more you used it. Mine, so far, has stayed at the same sound level. Its not the noisiest 'click' but its still audiable.Unlike other reviews, I also found that the torque wrench I ordered does ratchet in both directions. Maybe its due to it being a newer/updated version.Highly reccomended for the home mechanic/DIY'er/ tinkerer at the weekends.

Adjustment numerals very small
Seemingly robust tool, certainly heavy and supplied with clear instructions and strong storage case. But the adjustment numerals are too hard for my old eyes to see so tool returned.
