Very sturdy little cup! Mine got hit by a car this morning, and lived! Highly recommend.
I've owned this mug for almost 2 years now. Today it was in a bit of an accident.. (and it took it like a champ!) My boyfriend accidentally left it on the roof of the car when I took him to work. Oops. Didn't even realize it until halfway to work. When I came back about an hour later, our beloved coffee cup was on the road about 20ft up the street. It had very much been hit by at least one car, but knowing how much traffic we get, I'm sure it was more than one. Now, I'll admit, the lid is gone completely. I believe it's in a different dimension unfortunately. Which is fine, because the cup is no longer completely round so surely the lid wouldn't fit anyway. However, I'd say this mug did pretty darn well for playing in traffic for over an hour this morning! I knew it was a tough mug but woah! I highly recommend this mug and will be buying a replacement one so the boyfriend has a good mug with a lid for mornings. However, I fully intend to wash this one and continue using it in it's slightly disheveled state. The scratches and dents add character! On top of being extremely durable, it keeps my hot beverages nice and toasty for hours, and I've used it to keep ice chips in for hours as well. It's super easy to clean and the handle fits nice in my hand. This is my all time favorite mug honestly. (Hoping it still keeps things hot in its current condition, we'll see 😅🤞)In summary, 1) Buy this mug. 2) Be sure to securely fasten it inside the vehicle before driving! 😅😂

Practically Perfect in Most Ways
I found myself with a bunch of random travel cups in my cupboard that all had something I didn't like about them. The solid ceramic ones were bulky and thick so they didn't hold much liquid, not to mention being easily broken. Stainless steel fixes all of these issues, but I don't enjoy the tactile sensation of drinking hot beverages out of metal, plus I always think it tastes a bit off.I sat down to my trusty internet machine and asked the Google if such a thing existed as a stainless steel cup with a ceramic lining. And boom, it took me right to Amazon's listing of Ceramisteel. I bought the 22oz travel mug and 12oz coffee cup in turquoise color. It is *pretty much* a match made in heaven, with a couple of small nitpicks.PROS: the insulation power of these cups is AMAZING. Once I poured some boiling water and a tea bag in right as I was heading out the door for a homeschool group outing and throughout the entire several-hour event the tea never cooled enough to even attempt to sip at, lol!I currently drink a lot of herby/mushroomy coffee-alternative type drinks that need to steep for a good 10-15 minutes. Then I add cold milk/cream. In a normal coffee cup, the drink ends up fairly lukewarm after all that brew time + cold ingredients added and it tastes much better when it's nice and hot. I now use my Ceramisteel cup for this, so it is still piping hot by the time I add my cream which cools it to a comfortable temperature, but then the Ceramisteel maintains the drink at that comfortable temperature instead of rapidly cooling like a regular coffee cup, even without using the lid. Speaking of the lid, that leads us to....CONS:As a few other reviewers have mentioned, the lids seems very cheap. The tabs that hold the flap that covers the hole in place have broken on BOTH cups I ordered after very little use. It's not a huge deal to me to go without the flap, it still insulates good enough and the only way it would leak is if the cup toppled over in which case I'm not even confident the lid would stay on anyway, as the seal isn't super duper tight. That all being said, I prefer this lid (flaws and all) to some styles that can't be taken apart and have nooks and crannies that can never be washed well. And finally -- I have a bone to pick regarding the claim of being dishwasher safe. I was being proactively cautious and only handwashed my Ceramisteel cups because 95% of what I own comes from thrift stores so if I spend retail price on something it's a big deal! However, one day my husband swiped the 22oz cup to take to work and when he brought it back inside he stuck it in the dishwasher and it went through one cycle. It came out with blotchy lightened patches that chipped and flaked really easily so it looks horrendous. I run virtually everything else through the dishwasher, even stuff that shouldn't be, and never have issues so I don't think my dishwasher is freakishly hot or anything. Now I just randomly chip away at the remaining blue bits and someday when it's all gone I'll be left with the plain stainless steel version and it won't look like such a wreck. It should be listed as hand wash only. The 12oz cup that has never been dishwashered still looks great.

Wonderful Hot Coffee Mug
First, using a ceramic-coated mug for coffee eliminates the imparted taste from either plastic or stainless steel-lined mugs (UGH!). Although most mugs are lined with stainless, there are a few that are not and result in the coffee tasting like coffee and not coffee in a steel vessel. Forget plastic mugs, they are awful.Maintaining Temperature: The mug maintains the temperature of the coffee as long as you keep the lid on. The lid is NOT leakproof, but works well. If you do not place the lid on, I found the coffee cools down in 15 minutes. What I did find, is that the temperature is NOT maintained as well as another ceramic-lined mug I recently purchased from Amazon. HOWEVER, this is the ONLY ceramic-lined mug I found on Amazon that has a ceramic coating around the lip. The result: you only touch your lips to ceramic, and not stainless. Most other ceramic-lined mugs have stainless ring around the lip-not optional.Bottom Line: Ceramic is the only material the coffee and your lips touch on this mug. An exceptional design feature.

Perfect Cup!
Some reviewers commented that the handle is too small, but it's actually the perfect size. The objective of this mug is clearly to make it as close as possible to a regular coffee cup, and the handle size is perfect for that. I prepare myself two large cups of coffee each morning - the first for at home while getting ready, and the second to take on the trip to work in this mug. It feels just like a regular cup in your hand, including the fit of the handle. The taste is perfect, just like a porcelain cup, and the lid fits snugly. It's easy to drink out of, without it dripping or feeling awkward, and the coffee stays hot for hours. The sliding cover for the mouth opening fits snugly as well, and stays closed securely. It's also very attractive. I highly recommend it!

Good mug BUT faulty slider on the lid
After only 5 days of using the 12 oz Ceramic Coffee Mug with Handle, one of the clear plastic tabs that hold the clear slider in place on the lid broke off. I didn't noticed this until I took a sip and nearly swallowed this broken off piece. Fortunately my tongue felt the item, once removed, I see that it came of the slider piece from the lid. Also the lid slide tends to slide down over the opening when I go to take a sip. Other than that no issue with the mug itself. Hot drinks do stay hot for hours. The black paint has a nice texture to it. Mug is very quick and easy to clean by hand.
