Great item.
Yeah the tools don't lock, but for $7 to $8 it's great. I was suprised at the quality, seams like pretty decent stainless steel.Smaller than I realized from the pictures, the whole thing fits in the palm of your hand.

not very good quality
Pliers were nice & serrated blade was sharp. Other than that this item is an accident waiting to happen. Blade, awl & can opener not sharp! No springs or locking mechanism on tools. Pull one tool out & they all follow in unison. Big danger of snapback & injury (Just like the original early 80's Leatherman only worse) Originally got this for lightweight backpacking. No way would I rely on this in the wilderness. Returned item & went in the opposite direction with a Victorinox Hercules.

nice compact size, sturdy, can opener is weak sauce
I travel, backpack and move around a lot in general and I got this to replace my trusty multi-knife after it was confiscated at the airport due to my own carelessness. This lil thingy is great because its a small, light and compact packaging of all the basics of a toolkit. One thing my old one didnt have was pliers, which I've had the need for on several occasions. I haven't had the chance to use it yet but the pliers on this thing are a good size and sturdy. This whole thing feels pretty sturdy and is easy to fold open and closed. The different components also pull in and out with ease and its nice that it does not "snap" like my old thingy.Cons:-can opener is very blunt. I chose this above similar models for the can opener because that was one function on my old knife I found to be very handy, but I'm skeptical that this one will work.-It has a bad chemical smell that makes my hand also smell bad. must be some kind of chemical coating I'm hoping will go away-the phillips is small so prob cant use it for most regular sized screws.Edit July 2016:I now agree with the other reviewer that safety is an issue since there is no locking mechanism for the tool parts. Also, after some use the tool parts also get all loose and would flop in and out, making it difficult to use. These are the two reasons why I am taking away a star after further experience.Other notes:-I actually had to use the can opener once and it did the job but was not any easier than using my knife to open cans.-The bad smell did go away over time.-The screwdriver worked and was not too small for average screws.-The handles of the pliers are not angled ideally to give the best leverage for a strong grip, and they are too painful to grip super hard with bare hands. In summary, I've had some close calls because of the lack of locking mechanism for the tool parts. Don't expect to do any heavy duty work with these. Even though it is poor design, I don't regret my purchase because of the cheap price. It has helped me out a few times when I've had absolutely nothing else. I still keep it around because I never have to worry about losing it (and ironically, I still haven't lost it yet).

Not this model
It felt pretty cheap even for the price I returned it. Got a Geralt the quality is a lot better. Some blades on both are worthless small. I got it for pliers that fit in my pocket. Bro in law got the true with the clip seems better made
