Excellent quality, very useful
I’m so glad I bought this. It’s a great tool to have in the kitchen. I wanted it for bread dough, but have used it to mix muffin dough also. It’s easy to mix butter and sugar together for cookies, muffins etc with this utensil. It is sturdy and well made - highly recommend.

I really like it and think you will too.
I've considered this every time I've come across it for years I guess. Since it wasn't an expensive item I finally decided to give it a try but not expecting much. I have to say I'm happy I did. This is quite the cat's pajamas when it comes to bread making. This tool is to be used for starting the mixing and is used up to the point where the bread can be turned out onto a surface to begin kneading. I prefer to knead by hand so I can feel when the dough is finished but either used a spatula or electric mixer to get it to the point where it could be handled. This little tool is much easier than setting up a mixer for such a short task and hugely more effective than a spoon or spatula. Actually it is pretty amazing for the task it was designed for. It mixes quickly and thoroughly and cleans up easily. Also, it is a good solid tool, not some cheaply made kitchen "thingy" and feels good in the hand. I really like it and think you will too.

Best thing since sliced bread!
Don't judge a utensil by it's looks! Kind of a strange-looking utensil, but boy! does it work like a charm! Worked great when making artisan sourdough bread! But it's not just for heavy doughs. The flow-through design gently blends muffin, pancake, and other batters you don't want to beat, for fear of toughening your baked treats. I can't wait to use it for pizza dough and even tossing together a fruit pie filling. The quality is superb. The thick, wooden handle is ergonomic and the item is very well constructed. Cleans up easy, too. ADDITIONALLY, Quiverr's customer service is beyond excellent. After the purchase, I received and email thanking me, and giving me hints on ways to use it, Another email followed asking if I had received the order, and if not, they would "personally track it down". They were anxious to know if I used the whisk and what my impressions were as well as provided tips on how to get the most use out of the whisk. When I responded, they promptly responded back with a note of appreciation. In one of the emails they said if I wasn't satisfied I could return it - but that will not happen! This is going to be a go-to item in the kitchen for a long time!

A Wonderful Kitchen Tool
I have been using this dough hook for10 years. I really love it! I use it to mix up among other foods, my chocolate chip cookie dough and pound cakes. It can really handle thick stuff. I especially like that it is QUIET. Guess I get tired of the noise of so many motorized appliances. I have a smaller Danish Dough Hook also, but I don’t use it often. This larger one works the best for me. I always wash it by hand and it is very quick and easy to wash. It has never rusted nor has the handle deteriorated. It looks as good as new! I will be forever grateful to whoever made it. It is a special tool that has been a joy to use all these years!

Great to use on thicker or heavier batters
This is a great utensil to use instead of a whisk that usually gets packed with food on heavier batters.

Buy one, you'll like it!
To me, these looked gimmicky and/or outdated, then I did a little more research and bought one. There are some cool physics involved that you just don't get from a spoon or from a stand mixer. As you're initially stirring, the whisk acts like any other: it multiplies the amount work being done, but in bread making a normal whisk A) wouldn't stand up to the work involved and B) it would be a clogged mess in no time. The cool thing about this design is that it glides through nicely and as your gluten strands start to develop, the sturdy metal of this whisk pulls "ribbons" of dough through the concentric circles. It's layering your strands every time you stir. Probably something designed 500 years ago, but I'm really glad to be using one. I'm not sure as to the longevity of one of these, so I would recommend hand washing over a dishwasher that uses harsher heat and/or chemicals. I've used mine 4x now with zero signs of any wear. If you buy from Quiverr, I know they have good customer service. I didn't see any "made in..." markings on the whisk or the packaging but hear these are made in China (not Poland). You can get one for about $4 here on Amazon if you're willing to wait a couple of weeks shipping from China but you most likely won't get the customer service and/or packaging you would if you bought from Quiverr at $10, should anything go wrong with the product, etc. Anyhow, buy one, you'll like it.

Terrific tool that does the job beautifully
This product surely does not need another positive review. There are currently 402 reviews posted on Amazon, of which 96% are 5 star and 3 % are 4 star. I have not seen any other product with such overwhelmingly favorable reviews. One of the "unfavorable" reviews (a mere 3 star) claimed that this whisk will never replace a stand mixer. That is true for me, but obviously not true for everyone. I don't like mixing bread dough by hand, and as terrific as this whisk is, it will not induce me to mix by hand. But I use it for stirring up sourdough starter and for the preliminary mixing of dough before the "autolyse" step. Its shape and design allow for relatively easy movement through the dough while still mixing the ingredients around. It is easy to move flour out of the bottom edges of a round container, and it is easy to scrape down dough from the sides. Cleaning it is not effortless, but easier than a standard whisk. I plan to use this tool for a long time, so I frequently treat the wood handle with a beeswax-mineral oil compound. This is a solidly made and beautifully designed product and I strongly recommend it.

Makes Quick Work of Mixing Gluten Free Doughs and Batters
I have been seeing these whisks around for several years, but I just ignored them as I didn't see how they would be all that helpful as I already had a variety of other whisks to use in the kitchen. When I started making the gluten free artisan bread utilizing the 5 Minutes a Day method, I decided to take the plunge and get the whisk as it was something they highly recommended. Now I find myself wondering why I waited so long to get one of these whisks. I can't believe what a great job it does not only on the bread but also for other batters like pancakes, waffles, muffins, cookies.... Because it's so sturdy, it makes quick work of blending the doughs and batters. Plus, it's so much easier to clean than a traditional whisks. The only tricky part to clean is right where the metal whisk meets the metal on the wooden handle. The wooden handle is smooth and well made. The length of the handle was perfect for use is a variety of bowls and containers. I just store it in one of my utensil crocks as it's a little large to store in a drawer. I'm already considering getting a second one to have on hand for those times when I have several things going at once or for when my daughter is helping me with holiday baking.

Das Gerät an sich ist sehr gut - leider riecht die Metallspirale sehr unangenehm und hat sich nach dem ersten Gebrauch verförbt.
