This is a bit smaller than I expected but they weren't great for small portions and and portion size eating

I bought the 24oz containers to use in my 6 Pack Fitness backpack - the Expedition 500. These mostly fit - they are slightly too tall to fit into the separate compartments, but you can just lift up the bottom of the "rack" and stack them on the bottom of the bag and they fit just fine (as shown in the pictures). I can fit two of these plus two of the 20oz containers that came with the bag. I imagine if you have the 300 model you could fit two of these easily and still have room for the ice packs, but probably not room for a third container.These containers are a good size for portion-controlled meals and considering they are less than $1 each, I can't complain if they end up breaking after continued use. As the original 6 Pack Bags containers are $5 each, while those are likely more durable, I can go through 5 of these for the same price as one of those (and these are slightly bigger, which is nice). I think all containers that are of this similar hard plastic material have the same issue of cracking or breaking, but they are cheap and that's the tradeoff compared to more expensive/durable ones.I just started meal prepping once I got these containers, and I love having meals that I can just heat up and eat without having to think about it or prepare anything during the week. It makes it easier to eat better and not eat junk for lunch or dinner. I'm bringing my lunches to work which also saves me money. If/when these start to crack and break, I'll definitely buy them again.*** Update *** I purchased second set of these a little over a year later to replenish my supply. Unfortunately they are a slightly different design than my original 24oz ones, so my new containers and lids don't fit with the older containers and lids, which is a bit of a pain. Just something to be aware of when purchasing.

if you think you may need more than one set of these containers, buy them at the same time. I bought two sets a few weeks apart, and received ever-so-slightly different shapes and lids. unfortunately just different enough that I now have to try and keep track of which are which, because they aren't interchangeable. I bought the same items because I wanted more containers and more lids that would all work together. it's an annoying situation, but manageable.otherwise, I enjoy these containers. they're the perfect portion size for me and are great for small meals that I can prep and store in the freezer. I also use them to hold just enough fruit for a large smoothie without making too much.

I'm a weight loss surgery patient so I was looking for some smaller freezer safe containers and I thought these containers would be a great size for my meals.Upon receivicing them, I was so pleased with the size and how sturdy they felt that I ordered a second set to have spares.I like to prepare my meals for the entire week and store half in the freezer. On the second day of use, I had one of the containers leak into my bag. I thought maybe this was somehow a careless error on my part so I overlooked it.It was not until a few days later, after I received my second set, that I realized that the meals I left in the freezer had become frost bitten. I thought maybe I had received a bad batch, and the shipping cost of returning ​the second set was almost equal to the price I paid, so I decided to go ahead and test if the second set would be more reliable.For testing purposes I put two of the containers sideways into the freezer. This food too became frostbitten and the sideways containers had leaked enough to actually slightly force open the container.Im not sure if I received a flawed batch twice in a row, or if maybe these smaller ones are just not as well designed.They seem to be okay in the fridge but I no longer trust that they will keep my food safe and fresh in the freezer.

The containers have been sturdy, and I have had no issues with any breaking. They do not, however, keep ice crystals from forming when I use them in the freezer. I will continue to use them, but will apply plastic wrap between the lid and the container. These have worked great for the guys in my house. I make a meal, freeze in the individual containers, then they (4 of them) can pull them from the freezer when needed. We are all on different schedules, so everyone eats at different times. It's easy to defrost in the container, or run a little water over them and they pop out, so we can defrost in a bowl. Nothing is going to be perfect. I'm about to order some more, so yes, I would recommend them!

This item has a cover, but it doesn’t snap in. It basically sits on top and falls off if you move the item. Poorly put together but the size is good so I kept it.
