What a great assortment of colors!
I was worried that these would be flimsy, but they're not. I sew a lot, both on the machine & by hand. These have stood the test of time. Everytime I have a new project I am so glad to look through my assortment of threads and find just the shade I need. Machine work proves that they hold up well, often I am sewing heavy duty items and the thread doesn't break. Hand work, like beading or mending, I don't experience a problem with tangling. Just a great collection, thank you!

Great colors
I've used this thread brand before and they quality seems nice. My machine doesn't have an issue with it at all. It works great, the colors are great and I really like it.

Strong thread for machine embroidery.
So far, I am very happy with this thread. I do a lot of machine embroidery, and this doesn't break or ravel like some more expensive poly thread. And the colors are so pretty too. I really like that a card was enclosed that has a site for ordering individual spools, and another color card to identify those that were sent. Both will be very good references for me.

Advertised colors are deceptive
I'm awarding 3 stars because the thread is shiny and silky. I was pleased with the packaging. I bought this when it was on sale for half price. If I had paid full price, honestly I would have returned it. When it comes to the colors included, I would award 2 stars. The colors shown I don't feel accurately represent what you receive. If you are looking for a selection of greens and browns, then this might be for you. There are 5 spools in the pinkish family; however, if you are looking to embroider flowers for instance, and want to have the flowers shaded the way a real flower would be, you'll have difficulties. There are some lighter and some darker, but they don't go together if you know what I mean. I had wanted to do roses and some other flowers, and had hoped to have the edges of the petals lighter, and then move to darker shades nearer to the center. This is impossible though, because as I said the shades don't go together. There are also a lot of beige shades, but some are so similar as to be almost identical. If you plan on doing a simplistic kind of embroidery project where you have flowers all one color, or a bird whose feathers are all one shade ( like solid yellow, and then a few feathers black), then you might find this useful. But if you plan on any kind of a project where you want several shades of the same color, forget it.I would not order this again, and wouldn't recommend it to a friend, unless they are doing one color objects. Smiley faces, roses that are solid, one shade flowers, writing, that sort of thing; simplistic embroidery where you have an outline filled in by one color. If you're looking to embroider a more realistic looking object with a few shades of the same colour family, forget it, unless that object is some shade of tan. None of the other colors, whether red, blue, green, etc. have shades that blend.

Gorgeous thread but it truly is slim thread.
So let me start by saying... this is some phenomenal thread. Its high quality and durable (other threads break/fray while slimthread doesn't skip a beat!) the thread itself is gorgeous, it has a silky texture and beautiful sheen. But the thread is too slim! On certain fabrics, especially beanies it will leave gaps between rows where the fabric is visible. Ive tried and tried but I keep gettings these fabric gaps when using slimthread. I guess I could turn up the density for my designs but then I end up using more thread, which makes it not even worth the price to use this type of thread. Besides that I really like using the thread on other types of fabric.
