SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque Hair Treatment, 12 Ounce

I've had coarse, wavy dry hair my whole life. I've been insecure about it since middle school, tried so many "moisturizing" products and conditioners, none have ever actually helped me. Most products would weigh my hair down and make it look/feel greasy. I decided to give this product a try after seeing so many positive reviews, i'm not the targeted demographic and I wasn't expecting much because of my past experience with hair products. But wow was I blown away with this product. This deep conditioner has actually brought my hay-like hair to life. It's given my waves life, it makes my hair look healthy. I've never thought I'd ever LOVE my hair the way I do because of this. Always wanted basic straight, thin hair my life - But i'm so happy to have thick, wavy hair now! After a month of using this product every other day - I still have over 85% product left. You don't need to use much, and the smell is soo nice. I do feel like the scent will be 50/50, either you love it or you hate it. The best way I could describe it, it smells like cologne. ** I've decided to add 2 other products from shea moisture to my routine - SheaMoisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Leave-In Treatment, & their coconut and hibiscus curl and shine conditioner. My hair was great with the deep treatment alone - but adding these 2 other products have amplified the effects. My hair looks great, I feel so comfortable in my own hair. I recommend these products to you guys, I recommend the leave in treatment, and the deep treatment 100%. Thank you guys so much for these amazing products, you guys earned a lifelong costumer <3 <3

Last year I noticed that my hair was so frayed it looked like a thread when you cut it and it comes loose, so I started using this at the recommendation of a coworker. It’s been part of my routine ever since and I’ve recommended it for my mom and friends because it works so well. My hair is soft, shiny, and most of all, intact. It’s no longer frayed or brittle. This product is like a thick cream and is very moisturizing. I put a couple dabs of it in my hair per shower and each container lasts a few months.

I have been using the shea butter mask in my hair for over a year. It's the best product I have tried for my hair so far. I feel my hair stronger, smoother and shinning. I feel it treated my heat damaged hair. Currently I have been adding a couple drops of hair oil in the mask before I apply it (mix both in my hands, not in the container). It has controlled better the frizz. My hair is type 2A (half straight half wavy, and I had a lot of trouble finding a good product. I tested many expensive brands that were far way from the quality of this mask. The only downside I encountered after buying 5 or more packages was this last one. The lid seal came a little bit displaced and when I took it off I found kind a build up inside. It looks like worms, but I think it may be the product that dried and formed these. I think the seal should be changed to something that isn't this paper.

I rarely make product reviews but I like this stuff so much I'll make an exception. I have 3c/4a hair that is color treated and it is just dry and brittle. I was trying to find a deep conditioner that strengthened without tangling or leaving my hair dry.... I wanted slip.... THIS gives you slip! And omg my hair is so soft when I rinse it out. This is THE only deep conditioner that actually leaves my hair moisturized and easy to detangle. "Hydrating" is the TRUTH

I have low porosity 4a hair and this works extremely well for me. I've been using it for a year and a half and it's a staple in my routine. I was so happy when I discovered this 16 ounce jar last summer, I've been ordering this one ever since. It works very good on its own but I personally like to add some stuff. I dump it into a bowl then I add 1 tablespoon raw honey, 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons castor oil, and 2 tablespoons coconut oil. It overflows a little bit if you put it back in the jar so i just put it back in after i use it. Those are just rough measurements but i mix it until its a nice creamy consistency. Warming up the oils before you add it will make mixing easier. Adding that stuff also makes it easier to use as a detangler for me. It lasts me about 2 months. Of course you don't have to be extra and add all that but I do recommend adding the 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil because it really helps with adding moisture and slip. The smell is nice, not overpowering and very natural. I use a hothead and let it sit for at least 30 minutes to an hour, sometimes overnight or even a whole day but that's only if I dont have time to get to it immediately. I have a few curls around my head that are a little heat damaged now but im going to keep using this one and i will make another review after i see how those curls react.

This is the only deep conditioner I use! I put it on after washing my hair and I let it sit on for about 2 hours under a plastic cap and then I put a winner hat overtop of it to heat it up. Or I sit under a heated dryer. When I rinse it out of my hair it is perfectly soft and it's smooth and has slipped to it.. My package arrived on time, it was wrap securely in plastic so there were no spills, and I love the smell of the product.

Cons: If your aim is a product with slip to aid in the detangling process, then this hair masque is not what you are looking for. It has little to no slip; so, be sure to thoroughly detangle your hair prior to application. Likewise, this is not a hair masque that allows for apprehensive use. A generous amount is necessary. Pros: Although the product does not have slip and calls for a generous amount, it is satisfactorily moisturizing. I have found that as long as you implement an additional product to detangle prior to use, and use this masque strictly as a deep conditioning treatment, then you may be fairly satisfied.

3b curls, low porosity girl here! Okay, Prime! I ordered this product 12 hours ago and it's already here (: First off, I want to address the scent. All of the reviews I have read have said this product doesn't smell good. I would describe it as smelling similar to a cucumber--it smells natural, fresh, and clean. How could someone favor fruity scents over fresh, natural ones? I love it. Consistency--it's not as thick as the other Shea Moisture deep condition masques, and I'm happy with that. I LOVE Shea Moisture products but the masques I have purchased in the past have disappointed ("Strengthen & Restore" and "Intensive Hydration"). They've been too thick for my fine 3b curls and I don't like how they smell. Ingredients-- I purchased this product because it contains my two favorite hair oils, Argan and Castor. Since I am low porosity, I need oils that have small densities so they can enter my hair shaft (Argan). Since it is currently very humid where I live, I am using oils high in polyunsaturated fats (Castor oil is 89%, compared to popular hair oils: coconut oil 3% and jojoba 0%).
