frr B-52 Aviator Hat with Rabbit Fur

Can I say love? I loathe the day that its too warm to wear this hat as it is just so soft and lovely and warm.I learned this was a canadian company only after looking at the shipping information ! Very cool.

Long review ahead!Hat: Small- My Sizes: Head 21". F/5 ft. 0 in./100 lbs. Illinois. Reason for buying: I loved the colors and style. I wanted something warm and comfortable unlike some cheaper bomber/ushanka/trapper etc hats. I also wanted a less large/loud hat that would look decent from going outdoors to indoors and just being able to sort of keep it on inside as a casual-ware without looking like I was freezing to death at work.Let me get some of the important bits out of the way:For me, the hat runs a tad too large. The adjustable slider will pinch the base of the hat, but the actual bowl of the hat is too large, so it will either be loose, or you will have a scrunched up hat. It sort of engulfs my head either way. (As seen in the picture) Also, if you get the hat, there are some leftover fluffs and fur from manufacturing that need to be deshed. Don't worry, the fur isn't falling out. Just extra from being made.That being said...this hat is the real deal for the price. It's luxurious and comfortable. It has the ear flaps that can be adjusted up or down with ear holes on the side so you can hear better. The brim (the part right above my forehead) has buttons and can be worn up or down. The straps for the chin are Velcro so you have more range of sizing. The fur is SO soft and warm. The material is not stiff like many polyester hats being sold, so the hat moves with you and won't brush up against your clothing or shoulders, moving the hat around. That being said, the ear flaps and brim are a little longer than one of the product pictures showed, honestly, maybe it's my size but I have no idea what the brim does aside from engulf half of your face when it's unbuttoned. LolSo to end it: This hat would be a perfect 10/10 had it not been so big. I am going to try the kids hat and see if it's any better because the quality for this hat is probably the best I've gotten for nearly $50, which to me, is a lot for me to spend on any type of hat at all. But it does earn that price with utility, albeit at the expense of looking a little goofy on me when I was hoping for a full winner with style AND comfort. Basically, if you're a smaller person like me, go for the kids hat unless you are outside in terribly cold and windy weather for long periods of time and need something that gets the job done. It still earns 5 stars for product, but sizing gets 3.5 stars for the fitment not being reflected on a size SM.

This rabbit fur hat was very comfortable and warm. Repells water well and fitted good. Definitely worth ordering.

The orange wasnt very orange, not great for hunting when you need it blaze orange. Otherwise comfy and warm.

This hat fits WAY small. I have a fairly small head, wear a 7 1/4 hat size. I ordered a S/M and it is way too tight. I wanted to give a large a try, but it’s not an option to order. Bummed.

Very warm hat on below-freezing days. A bit snug (I have a huge head) and a very tiny amount of the fur came loose when I first brushed it out, but no real complaints.

I got this as a gift for my uncle who is a police officer. He loves it and says it's really really warm. It does lose some fur here and there because it is real fur but that is to be expected.

With a name like "Canada" I was hoping for at least a Canadian product, but it's not. It's made in China. I Ordered the largest size available (2XL/3XL) and it is still tight. I wear a size 7⅞'s hat. However, it is deep enough and it does fit better than the "one size fits all/most" which on those I usually can't even pull the hat down. It is warm and does the job when it -15⁰ outside. perhaps if I wear it more it'll "break-in" and not be so tight around the head.

Unboxed, and tested in -8C. Canadian Prairies.I'm comparing it with Milspec Faux Fur/Faux leather aviator hat size L, and it is a reasonable comparison. The Rabbit fur is much nicer on the skin. It is shedding slightly out of the box. I imagine that will get better, but even if it doesn't, I'm still satisfied. For the price, highly recommended.If you deal with cold winters, Aviator hats are the way to go. I can't believe I ever went outside with a polyester toque.I got the 2XL/3XL because I intend to wear it with ear muffs/active hearing protection. It will look goofy, and might squeeze my brain a bit, but it appears to fit with my tacti-cool Peltor 300's. Mil-Specs L is the perfect size for me. I can flip my head around and flip this thing off if I didn't do up the strap.Blaze orange could be slightly more blazy, but it's within spec. I wish the Rabbit Fur was in Blaze orange, but the anti-GMO people are holding us all back.

Took a bit of a chance ordering this - my son said “dad will hate it”. I am not sure “dad” likes the style but I know he loves it for the warmth, as he has worn it three times a day, everyday, walking the dog, since he got it for Christmas. My son liked it so much once bye saw it and tried it on that I ordered one for him too. And I am considering the white one. Seems to be pretty well made. Glad I found this.

I've had the hat only 21 days, but so far I'm VERY pleased. It's well made with plenty of padding, very neatly done construction and all the details that this hat should have. Also, I am not aware of any shedding from the fur. Most important, the hat is very warm, even with the flaps up, though as winter progresses those flaps will come down.

These are high quality and great hats - the fir is amazing and it comes already treated for water repellent. I would have gave it 5 star but the sizing I wasn’t a fan of - I would normally pick Large but wasn’t an option - I chose S/M and it fits good but a touch snug - thinking it will be perfect once worn a couple times.
