8 inch (20 cm) Smooth Foam Ball for Crafts, School and Modeling Projects

Bought this for my daughter and I to make an Earth model for her science class. It worked perfectly. We were able to cut it in half to do the layers of the Earth's interiot. I will admig that I DID hurry at cutting it, so it wasn't 100% smooth. I'm sure that using a different knife or method would come out very smooth. As it was, the texture actually looked pretty good for the different layers of the Earth once painted. We used the mid-line "ridge" for our equator. We used Crayola paint, which adhered to it perfectly and dried awesome on it. Overall, it made for an excellent project.

Daughter had school project to show the layers of the earth. This worked perfectly! It was an appropriate size, easy to cut and paint.

Used these Styrofoam balls for a Halloween project .balls are sturdy .Foam does not flake off. I had to make a hole in them foam did not disintegrate. overall decent product and I found the price to be cheaper than my local craft store

Purchased this for a class (earth) project. Bigger than expected. Think of the size of a small volleyball.Update: My daughter's project went without a hitch and she earned an "A." A week later I found a similar item at my local $1 store, where the item was being sold for only $1 !

I purchased this as an Earth model for my science classes. It is large so running temperature experiments on it work well. Anything smaller and I have had problems. The individual foam pieces are big but smooth overall. It isn't perfectly round as there are a few flat spots that are different with each ball. It also isn't exactly 8in in diameter or 20cm. It's really about 7.75 inches. Overall great product for what I needed it for.

Daughter needed it for a science project. Was the perfect size but I'd say a little pricey. Packaged well arrived on time project done.

Just okay. It’s good for the bare minimum, like if you need a plain foam ball. If you want to do any crafting with it though, not a good choice. I purchased the ball to stick chocolates to it and decorate it with a cap as a graduation prop. It gets melted by most types of adhesives including glue dots (I don’t know what you could use to stick things to it????) and it’s very flimsy and weak. It is super lightweight and not sturdy at all. Not pleased with this product.

What purchase again if it wasn’t so much But it was perfect otherwise
