I wouldn't recommend this project for a novice, although I guess you have to start somewhere. It's important to make sure you don't stretch it out as you put it on the wall, or you'll get a gap at the seams. You need to have a spray bottle to activate the paste, and you'll need a nice sponge to smooth it on. Also, a good pair of scissors and something with a good, sharp cutting edge for the final cut when it's on the wall at the ceiling and bottom. Make sure to wipe it down with a clean rag after you have it up to get rid of any paste residual. There is a rather big matching gap, so a lot of wallpaper gets wasted. Take the match into account when you order. I put this up on a bedroom wall in two different houses. It was very nice paper to work with.
