PonyfloActive Ponytail Hat - Ponytail Caps for Women, Designed for Curly Hair

This is a light weight hat and the velcro back is awesome! I can even wear a bun while playing pickleball!

I have thick, wavy, medium-length hair that I’m growing out. I wear my hair up in ponytails & messy buns all. the. time. There are many days where I just wanna be “incognito” and not risk running into anyone I know (and I know a lot of people as I’m in a cluster of small towns and have grown up/worked here most of my life)…Because of all this- HATS. ALL the hats. I wear beanies & slouchy hats with braids… I have other ponytail hats that are C.C.’s brand that I think are super cute, and they’ve lasted me quite a while… But the rest of my “ponytail” baseball caps all have a fixed, set opening in the back. That fixed hole works great with ponytails, and with buns to an extent- as long as I put the hat on FIRST and THEN do my messy bun…I wanted to have the option to create cute messy buns FIRST, and THEN place my hat on- WITHOUT ruining said bun by having to pull it through a small little hole in my hats. This hat allows me to do that. I’d prefer that these hats had more structure to them like a traditional baseball cap, but I’m willing to sacrifice that structure considering the way the design allows me to create cute, voluminous messy buns with my thick hair and then place my hat AROUND the bun… without risking messing it all up. It is also quite breathable, with is a plus as I often use this as a gym hat now. I’ll likely be ordering a couple more- to have extra colors as well as to have a backup or two of my staple black hat. Recommended!

I have A LOT of hair, and have always struggled with baseball caps. I discovered ponyflo a few years ago, and have been hooked. I thought I lost my old ponyflo black hat, so I purchased this one recently. It definitely fits my head and my hair. The material is nice, quality, and breathable. My only complaint is with the Velcro strap in the back. My old hat seemed to have a better Velcro grip than this one. I can lightly adjust the hat, and the Velcro comes undone. Also, if you have locs, the Velcro may stick to your hair (FYI). I’ll keep the hat, even with the Velcro issues, because it fits, but I will be more mindful when purchasing in future.

Everyone always asks me about this hat! I wear it frequently during the summer. Super cute and functional and has survived a few washes and trips through the dryer without warping all weird like other hats do.

Bought this as one of the gifts for my gal on her birthday. She wears it every time she goes for a walk with me or with our dog. We live in an extremely sunny city, so it helps keep the sun outta her eyes and keeps her face shaded. She also loves the ponytail hole in the back, as she generally wants to put her hair up when we go for walks, so she can do so and wear the hat comfortably. Get it for your gal, or if you yourself are a gal, get it for yourself.

This hat is very cute with ponytails, and it's easy to use. The velcro doesn't snag on hair either. It would be perfect if not for one major thing: the waterproofing affects how sweat is held inside the hat too. I use it to play tennis, and any forehead sweat will not evaporate while wearing the hat. It just pools inside the cap on my forehead, which feels gross. I have to remove it every once in a while to wipe the sweat out..

It’s a perfect fit and doesn’t make my head hot.
