Not as good as expected.
Looks really nice but has a lot of shake and isn’t straight. I ordered amazon professional installation. It was not a professional installation. And they also messed up my brand new asphalt I had installed just for this court. I should have just done it myself with a few friends to help. 2 guys unprepared without the right equipment or tools aren’t going to get this job done the right way. This is easily a 3-4 man job to be done perfectly and needs people to actually care to avoid damaging surrounding areas. For $650 installation and $1500 hoop I expected it to be done perfectly. Instead I have defective hoop and concrete stained asphalt. I tried to contact amazon and get this issues fixed but they seemed to me dodging every attempt I make. They sent another company to fix previous installers mistakes which they did somewhat but hoop is still messed up. Probably why you can’t review the installers. They just pay whoever will take the job. Shame on a billion dollar company to not do things professionally. Ive asked for refund to start from scratch and they have ignored me. I’ve decided to just go right to Spaulding and see if they can give me some idea of how to get this hoop more sturdy and less crooked. Next time I use my $650 for a ladder, tools and buy my friends dinner that help do this the right way. With love and professionalism.

Solid, but crank broke first day
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Delivery guy was very rude. I think he was angry that it was so heavy and there wasn't a big guy at home to help him. I dug a 24" x 36" hole as directed, which only took about 800 lbs of concrete as opposed to the 1250 lbs it suggested. It seems quite stable. I was able to put it all together myself with a little help from my wife with putting up the 60 inch glass backboard (that sucker is heavy!). I balanced the backboard on a 6' ladder and leaned it against the bottom yolk while I attached the top yolk. Then I lifted it up to attach the bottom yolk. That may have been a bit risky, but it worked. The bottom cover on the rim was almost impossible to remove. After struggling and trying every trick in the book I finally got one of the two screws loose and then bent the other side and slid it off over the other screw. Then once I had the backboard raised 10', the crank broke. I opened the crank box and noted the pin connecting the handle to the rotor had snapped in two places off the handle. I tapped the broken middle out of the handle. I bought a steel rod of similar diameter and cut off a piece the proper length and shoved it into the hole in the handle. Now it seems to work fine.Solid piece of equipment with great rebound action off the glass backboard. Now my eight year old son can begin training for his NBA career.

Excellent goal!
The Spalding goal is an excellent option for driveway hoops games! Super sturdy yet with a forgiving rim, the goal provides stability from shaking so rebounds are true. High quality materials, relatively easy assembly - make sure you have at least 3 people to hang the backboard - the 60inch is HEAVY! But the bolt on process is quick so the effort to hold up the board is brief. The padded 6x6 inch post forms the foundation of the goal, installing nicely with the lag bolt J-hooks that protrude from the concrete base. Don't use the fast-setting option for concrete but the "just add water" types are fine. Will likely take 3 days to cure, especially in humid conditions. The hand crank used to raise and lower the goal has small gearing so it does take some effort to move the goal. Makes for a nice warm-up to the arms and shoulders! I highly recommend this unit and the Amazon install service. Our local team was extremely responsive and kept in great contact through the process which spread over multiple days due to very rainy weather we experienced. The new goal makes for a great value and will be a tremendous asset to our home for years to come.

Nice set up
Solid build. Took me an hour to dig hole(I went 20% deeper than recommended) Took hour to mix, pour and set base. Took a half hour to stand up pole and loosely attach backboard(Had 3 total adults stand up pole and attach backboard - put backboard in box of truck and backed up to pole) Then took about an hour to tighten up and finish. All in all a pretty straight forward project. Slight vibration after shot but to me not an issue.

Great basketball hoop
I ordered had this hoop thru Amazon an had it installed by Amazon Home Services, which I highly recommend. It's very sturdy and the kids love it. I went with the 72 inch, get it, its worth the additional backboard.

Very solid goal.
I bought this goal for the driveway to play with my 10 year old son. I decided to spend a little bit more and get the bigger pole and overall more stable structure that this model provides. We got it up over the weekend and have not been disappointed. The kids love it and I have enjoyed it myself. There is little to no vibration from the background and the system is overall very solid. The only vibration you get is if you really bang it extremely hard of the backboard. It took about 6 hours to install total (2 hours for hole, 2 hours for concrete and base setting, and 2 hours for goal assembly). The instructions are pretty straight forward. The one recommendation would be to use a pickup truck bed to put up the backboard rather than a ladder. The backboard is very heavy and this was the most difficult part of the instalation. You can do it with 2 adults, but this part works better with 3. The only confusion from the instructions was how much concrete you need. The instructions call for a hole that is 24" deep and 24" across. I dug it an extra 6" deep to 30" and used 12 bags of concrete to fill the hole.Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.
