Display port cable
I bought this cable to connect my new computer to a new monitor. It works fine and maintains high quality. It is built really well and is nice and flexible.

Used for a second monitor
Well if you're reading this you already know what this is for. I expect now I have Display Port cables the next thing will be Display Port cable Mk2.Works as expected. It's quite stiff but doubtless, it will tie itself into tangled knots and wind around all the other cables behind my desk within moments of installation.

Looks brilliantly constructed, but failed on me.
First off this feels like a well constructed, solid cable. It really does feel like a high quality product. The first 6 months to perhaps a year it gave me no issues. Then the monitor it was connected to just went black screen The screen and gfx card were rather new so I suspected them. The graphics card thought it could see the screen and reported the correct manufacturers name, but the display simply stated no signal. I messed around a lot, swapping the cable to another monitor and the cable from that monitor to the original one (HDMI). This seems to sort the problem out. I thought it was perhaps the graphics card had a faulty port or my Linux desktop configuration had gotten borked and I had fixed it.However a few months later I started getting problems with the other monitor blanking out, corrupting screen or flicking on and off rapidly. I thought the monitor was failing as it was my older one. I was pulling the cable out ready to disconnect the monitor and it stabilised. I thought there might be a connection problem in the back of the monitor so when it started playing up I would bash the top of the monitor as you do. This stopped helping as of 3 days ago.I again went to pull the cable out (powered on) and the screen came to life as I was grabbing the cable. At this point I suspected the cable. I ordered a new one yesterday which arrived today. I plugged it in and the screen came back to life with no artifacts or problems.I didn't report this to the seller as it is 2 years since I bought this so it is well out of any warranty. However, I would expect a DP cable to last longer than the year reliably and 2 years before total failure.I have had quite a few Ivanky products in the past and never had an issue, so I was probably just unlucky on this one.
