Austin Wyrd: 1 (Valhalla Awol) Paperback – Import, 31 July 2019

I read a lot of History, historical fiction and military thrillers. I'm also a huge Larry Correia fan so the Amazon algorithm suggested this book. They got it right. I really liked the story and the hero's back story was very interesting. I will definitely check out the rest of the books in the series.

These books have everything I like, Vikings and mythology, action, violence, beautiful women and mad heroism.Fast paced and well written, with a great cast of characters flavored with the usual human flaws.Superb stories that keep me hooked from start to finish.

I enjoyed this book very much with the various combinations of occult and mythologies. Excellent work. I even mostly enjoyed the female characters which is extremely rare for me. I find most often they are annoying in a host of ways. These ladies were much less so. The grammar and editing was top notch. Didn't have to shake my head and try to figure out what was trying to be said. So all in all a very fun and well put together read. The only reason for the loss of a star was Magnus' habit throughout the book of losing his train of thought over a pretty face etc. Made me want to smack him in the head ala NCIS Gibbs. Other than that small thing great book. Well done Sir.On to book 2...
