I wanted to keep something like this for my old iPod in my car. This works great as the cable is there when I need it, and retracted when it's stored. Works great!

Does the job I was looking for - having a good length of recharging cable but having it stow easily. I don't love the faux snakeskin design but the price was excellent. It has worked well for several months and there has been no wear and tear to the connections, or fraying of the cords like the official Apple products often have.

Just love this cable for doing my old school iPod in the truck (Pioneer Deck has USB port) retracts nicely for storage but the wire sheath at the USB and 30pin are starting to pull away from plug ends, the beginning of a wire failure. Will get a tube of white silicone to try and reinforce the wires before they bend and break like some of my older well worked sync cables. Happy Music Friends, DB

This didn't last long before the cord connection to the iPod failed.

Excellent and sturdy cord. I have used for many weeks now and it still retracts like it was new. A very reliable charger.

Pros: Very cheap Cons: As soon as I got it I tried to pull out the cord, and the wires came out of the track. Ended up having to take off the plastic casing and just use the wire minus the retractable aspect.

OK. It connects my old Apple iPad to USB for charging. However, the reel-up capability jams.

Works great with my ipod. No complaints at all!
