Burton and Burton Unique Pencil Shape Teachers Vase with Apple - Set of 2

Purchased this for my graduating intern (and an intern in another classroom). Placed beautiful flowers in them. When they get their own classroom, they can fill it w/pens, pencils & such, and keep it on their desk as a reminder of my classroom (as well as the other classroom) & where they began...such a lovely gift. They were very appreciative. GREAT GIFT IDEA!!! (personally, I would hot glue the ribbon & Apple hook onto this very sturdy pencil shaped vase) OH, & I wouldn't put water in it lol...It REALLY is a great product though :) **I paid $12.75 for each of my vases btw (the EXACT same vase, sold by JH Direct, right here on Amazon)**

I like that this vase is made from resin. I don't have to worry about it breaking easily so it would hold up well in a school environment. It was easy to use to make a silk floral arrangement. I have posted pictures of my arrangement in this review. I bought 2 of these. These are bigger vases than I thought. They look great except they aren't packaged well. Yes, they are placed in a bubble wrap bag but they do not reinforce / support the pencil tips for shipping so mine came with tip broken. They've had reviews about this for a long time & I took a chance anyway hoping that they would learn from the reviews and cushion those pencil tips better. What I will use it for will not hide the broken tip. Also, the apple does not come attached and the little metal hook in the apple isn't deep enough to fit on the vase the way the picture shows. Very disappointing because these are awesome otherwise. Now I have to decide if I want to pay almost $33 for two vases that won't look the way that I expected them to on display, see if I can fix them enough to use them they way that I want or return them. Bummer!

Very cute item for teacher gift. My daughter's teacher loved it! Unlike other reviews, my vase arrived in good shape, well packaged, with all pencil tips in place. This is a neat gift. It was a little expensive. In hind sight, I probably should have purchased a cheap vase from the dollar store and hot glued my own pencils and ribbon on it. But, I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to others.

The vase came, and like many of the other reviews that I read, about 4 of the pencil tips were broken. Fortunately, I found all four tips and bought some super glue and was able to fix them all. Also, there was no apple with the vase. It was just the ribbon and the vase. My daughter's teacher loved it! I think the packaging just needs to be done better. The vase comes wrapped in thin bubble wrap with a ton of tape at the top. Very cute product!

Horrible! I ordered two of these for end of the year gifts for my kids' teachers. The first one I opened only had one pencil point broken, so I was planning on hot glueing it until I got to the second one. Ten of the pencil points were broken off halfway down the pencil. There was no repairing it, so I decided to send both of them back. It's a shame because it would have been a very cute gift had it come intact. Unless they find a way to package it to keep it from breaking, do not buy!

I ordered three of these for my daughter's 4th grade teachers. I was so impressed with the overall quality of the product. It was well constructed and not in any way "cheap" looking. The teachers had a fit over them when my daughter presented them. I am of the mind that each teacher going forward will get one of these from my daughter at Christmas time. ;) So, keep making them!

Very impressed with this vase! It is incredibly adorable and I can't wait for my daughter to give it to her Kindergarten teacher as a last day of school gift. It was packaged very well and nothing was damaged. Just a heads up, the apple is wrapped in bubble wrap inside the vase (I didn't see this at first and almost threw it away).
