Versatile, cheap, and sturdy if you treat her right
I'm pretty happy with this thing. There's a bunch of different ways to set it up and get different shots with ease, shoulder mount is just the beginning. There's no wrong way to use this thing! If you have a little imagination, you'll find out what I mean. For instance, I started out using this as a shoulder mount because that's why I got it, but eventually I realised if I folded the legs up I could get great tracking shots with ease. The other day I folded it up real small and put the legs down, then put it on a wheelchair: instant dolly! It actually works better with a tripod because you can tilt the head and your perspective isn't as low but still, the point is that you can do a lot with this little guy and for forty bucks you can't beat it! My favourite thing is that when you're done you can fold it up real small, which makes transportation a breeze. If you make films on a low (or no) budget, this is a great tool to have.

Better Than I Anticipated
I have several different shoulder rigs for my cameras, and needed one that was compact for when I travel. This one works great, and has become the one I use for most shoots. It is lightweight, can be used in a variety of situations, has multiple ways to attach lights, wireless mics, and other accessories. The only thing I don't like about it is that there are some points where you have to use an allen wrench (included) to tighten them, and there is no reliable place on the rig to store that wrench. I currently have a small piece of gaffers tape holding it on the rig, but that isn't ideal to me as it can still come loose when the tape loses its adhesiveness. Other than that, minor issue, this rig gets the job done for me.

Has some major flaws, but in the end, you can get the job done.
This works okay. I know it isn't super high tech or anything, but find moving the parts around to be kind of frustrating. The arms are a little stiff and get in the way of each other. The screw that connects your camera to the unit is too long, so my camera shakes (taking away the whole point of using it). I find if you put sticky notes or something small underneath, you can make up for the gap, but it is very frustrating to have to work around. I mean, the whole point is to make it easier to shoot footage- this just doesn't really do the job. I have used this at least ten times and it gets easier when you know what you need to do to fix it, but for the money you are spending, you shouldn't have to fix anything at all to use it.

Love this thing!
For the price I honestly wasn't expecting much, but this mount works great. The metal body makes it pretty sturdy. The knobs are easy to adjust, and when cranked down they hold well. The design allows you to configure it endless ways, which is my favorite feature. When you're not using it you can fold it up pretty small to carry/tuck away. The grips are comfy and give you perfect control. Once I add on a quick release plate this will be the perfect shoulder rig setup.

Versatile enough to overcome it's drawbacks.
Decent product for the price. Plenty of 1/4 - 20 mounting places, though I had to retap all of them to clean up their tap job. I do feel like the amount of force required to tighten the arms handles into place is excessive, and even then you can move them slightly with a little effort.I would NOT recommend using it in a top handle configuration, my camera and longest lens weight roughly 610g (1.35 lbs) and that's enough to make the unit begin to slowly droop out of place when carried top handle style. It is however mountable to a quick release/tripod and versatile enough to be used as a shoulder rig if you configure the handles right. Screw in a counter weight to the back (if you have a heavier camera) and you're good to go.It's light enough and folds up small enough to toss into a backpack, messenger bag, or larger camera bag or even hang off of your bag with a carabiner. I'd take this into the hills in my kit simply because of the adjustable and weight. Will it last forever? No, will it last long enough for you to get your moneys worth from it? Definitely. Even with a good amount of use over the course of 6 months, it's holding up well enough.

Small and supportive of my needs
The small size of this rig makes it super handy and extremely versatile. Made of all metal this thing will handle just about any situation you need it in. It is not only durable but it is light and I barely notice it while I film. I have taken it to a lot of different events and I always have other photographers/videographers compliment me on how compact it is while still giving the sturdiness and support needed in a shoulder rig.

A must-have for guerilla DSLR filmmaking.
Bought this thing years ago and it's still a part of my on-the-go kit. I use with various Sony Alpha series cameras and they all work fine with no signs at all of unstableness. The compactness and flexibility to make it any shape you need makes this vital and i honestly prefer it to a standard shoulder mount.
