I had a hard time installing this. I took off the door to the compactor and laid it flat on a table as I saw they did on the Rachel Ray Video but that was not a good idea. It took me forever to figure out how to disassemble it and then when I started to apply the film it was obvious that it would be much better to apply from an upright position rather than a flat position. I put the door back on and applied a new piece and remembered to spritz it first with water and that helped immensely when I needed to lift it to reposition. It hasn't been sticking well to the sides where I curved it around and I'm worried it will start to lift after a while but so far it isn't all that noticeable, fingers crossed that it stays. I applied it so that the grain runs side to side instead of vertical so as to match my refrigerator's stainless grain. It looks pretty good and the compactor now looks just like the brand new ones they sell today. My compactor is 21 years old. Once you do this, there is no going back IMO as it was incredibly hard to remove when I had to do the first try over again. My only regret is that I wish I had gotten the lighter color of the stainless film. I used the darker version and it looks pretty dark in my kitchen. My Kitchen Aid stainless refrigerator was darker than the light and lighter than the dark film so I just went with the dark thinking it would hide my mistakes better. All in all, I think it looks pretty nice. I have the dishwasher to do next but after the wrestling match with the compactor, I'm putting it off for a while longer.

Go slow to avoid bubbles. I am certain I could do a better job the second time around but no doubt there would be some tiny bubbles somewhere. It is nearly impossible to get them all out and if you are a perfectionist like me, it will make you crazy. Don't try popping them with a tiny pin prick either because the material is so thick, it is impossible to puncture without noticing. I don't believe anyone else would notice these imperfections because no one would be looking so closely. Overall, this is a pretty amazing product. Also, lightly spray the surface with a water and dish liquid solution (very small amount of dish liquid) before starting to apply the product so that you can reposition. It sticks extremely well so you want to get it into proper position before lightly roll it into place working small sections at a time. This is where a partner is needed to hold the roll as the other applies the product and to help keep it position. The corners were very challenging and took me a long time. I cut and folded like wrapping a present but they were rounded corners so not easy to blend. Yes, I would buy it again. DO NOT forget to spray the surface. That was my first mistake in this process.

We watched the how-to videos that are on the EZFauxDecor’s YourTube Channel and they said that this would work on refrigerators with the “orange peel” texture so we decided to try it out. After using EZFauxDecor’s marble countertop contact paper with amazing success, we decided this would be a great solution to our white fridge, but were upset by the results. The orange peel texture is clearly visible and it’s very obvious that it has just been covered up. We also had issues with the air bubbles. Small bubbles would go away, but larger ones would crease and no amount of pressure or use of a squeegee would make them disappear. We are really upset because we had such success with their marble countertop and had high hopes for the stainless. I hope they come out with a thicker paper similar to the countertop one for refrigerators with texture.

I just placed this faux overlay of brushed nickel paper, they say after 5-7 days the bubbles will dissipate. So keeping my fingers crossed. I applied it using the water method, I may have had better luck with the dry not sure so we’ll see. It’s supposed to be guaranteed so we’ll see. If the bubbles go away I’d give it 5 stars. I did struggle with the small edges getting them to stick so far no luck with that so I put something under opening in time it will stick.

I bought a used over to replace my "easy bake oven" in my kitchen, but it was a dark grey plastic instead of stainless like the rest of my appliances. I purchased this product to make everything match and I have to say I am pleased with the outcome.! The handle itself was stainless already so I just had to do the front door and the buttons. Not gonna lie, I did need a second pair of hands to help, but totally worth the time and effort. The little edges didn't want to stick at first (I think I wetted the area too much. But the next day I was able to use a large flat head to lay them down smooth. It's pretty hard to tell that it's not really stainless steel, so I'd say that it's pretty good for a sticker 👍✌️😁
