Delta Faucet U2693-PK Overflow Plate 2 Hole Tub Drain, Chrome,1 Pack

I suppose it will work great to prevent water overflow if I'm afraid of sharing bathwater with it... I wish I'd known. The back of the package states: "WARNING: This product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling." Soooo... what's the chemical?!Besides that, it installed perfectly and looks just fine. Literally just installed so I don't know how it will wear. If I even keep it...?And to address mixed reviews- mine came in retail packaging and included the 2 screws. They are Phillip's head rather than flat head. Otherwise it looks as pictured.

The Pfister bath clean out lever on my tub was shot - wouldn't stay locked in the open position, I was always wrestling with it to open AND close all the way. I hated the way it would slowly drain water with a full tub. I pulled the linkage out and inspected it, and while it was still serviceable, the lever was shot - and a replacement was kind of silly-expensive. I decided that a rubber plug and a plain overflow plate would work just as well - seeing as I intend to replace the tub in the near future ... but Pfister doesn't make a plain overflow plate. So, given that the bolt spacing was the same on this Delta overflow plate (2"), I gave it a shot. Now, keep in mind that the Pfister plate is almost a half-inch larger in diameter - but this plate still neatly covers the overflow drain in the tub. Seems to be well-chromed and comes with decent hardware - we shall see how it fares over time. I left off one star for it being made of fairly thin metal.

I purchased this item as my old overflow was starting to pit and also we had changed out the tub drain to one that did not need the level on the old one to operate.Since I have had Delta items before and they have been pretty good I saw this only a few more dollars than no name items. I also has a lifetime warranty.The item came very quick from Amazon.It seems to be well made and has a good weight to it as well as being very nicely chromed.It had two included screws and was easy to switch out. It looks a whole lot better than the old one so I am happy.

This overflow plate is excellent quality and heavily chromed for years of service. Unfortunately, the screws were too short and I could not get them started into the overflow drain connection. I went to a big box store and purchased one of the overflow plates that had longer screws. I used the Delta cover plate and the screws from covers I purchased locally. That worked, but unfortunately, the locally purchased set used stainless steel screws instead of chrome. There is a slight color difference but its not highly noticeable. The big box store overflow plates looked cheap and weighed almost half as much as the Delta ones. In spite of the issue with screw length, I rated this overflow cover 5 stars.

Works fine! I needed to go to the hardware store for much shorter bolts than what this came with. Also, there's a sizable gap with the tub surface that will require some Dremel work on the inside of plate hole cover (the metal that bends inward around the screw holes is too much), but I attribute that mainly to living in an older house with somewhat dated plumbing. Easy to accommodate both issues, and it looks good now!

This was a perfect replacement for the old, outdated lever-action overflow plate that was in my bathtub. It was easy to install and the two screw holes matched the spacing of the ones in the opening of the tub.

Can't believe that box store near me doesn't carry this part in store, sure they have other types but not like this one with two screws and no drain lift handle. This part fit perfectly and easily and was done in one minute. Only thing I noticed was that the picture shows two straight head screws but it came with two phillips head screws. I don't really care so long as they worked out fine!

My tub is older kohler with trip lever and larger than average drain hole, 1-7/8". It has rather protruding trip lever cover. Kohler cover screws are longer and thinner. Return was easy. Stars in the rating is irrelevant. I realize there is really no universal.
