Does the knife do well for tomatoes?

I ended up returning this bread knife and got the Victorinox 8" bread knife. The knives are identical other than length. It is a wonderful, versatile knife. It slices bread, tomatoes and soft/semi-soft cheeses excellently. I highly recommend either length knife. I also highly recommend their 8" chef knife. It to slices tomatoes very well as long as you keep it sharp.
