Best range hood I’ve ever seen. The light is bright. The suction is extremely powerful. Great for cooking Chinese food. If you’re going to be cooking with a lot of oils and don’t want to be breathing in all that crap, this is a must have. Worth every penny we spent.

I can now give a review after owing this hood for almost a year. This is a great hood with very decent suction. You can feel and see the suction power more powerful than any traditional hood. Easy to clean design. The aesthetic has a wow factor but I wonder how much of it is done for practicality vs. purely aesthetic. It is also super quiet compare to other hood. The installation is not a huge pain, but it does take a while and at least 2 person. This is an expensive hood, I would consider it high-end almost. But you can definitely feel the difference in suction power compare to the traditional hoods, and this is a deal breaker for me. Combined with the unique aesthetic, modernized glass body, and human-friendly button interface, I think it is a great purchase (given that it will last me a decade or more).

We are an Asian family household and my wife cooks everyday with all the Asian sauces & spices. We used to have those OTR microwave which does next to nothing in terms of exhausting odor outside. I've spent hours researching this particular range hood before pulling the trigger when it was on sale on Prime Day. It did not disappoint. The installation process was relatively straightforward. It is not difficult but you do need various power tools, have to be handy & have help due to its size. It took about 4 hours and a couple of trips to Home Depot. The noise level is a quite loud in high setting. It makes up for it with its awesome suction power. The automatic baffle really helps create a low pressure zone so even if the smoke/odor is not directly underneath the unit, it still gets sucked in and exhausted to outside. One time my wife forgot about her pot of dessert and it got burnt so badly that everything was charred but the house did not have a single smell. It's amazing how effective this beast is. Friends and families who visit our house love it and 2 of them bought the same model for their house. The touchless gesture features are a great bonus, keeps the unit free of fingerprints. Aside from the noise level, we highly recommend this product if your household cooks often.

My new home didn’t have a duct/ventilation system. I had a microwave oven above my stove. My home smelled of curry 🍛 all the time. The grease on the cabinets were an added pain to clean up every day. I ordered this range based on the online reviews. I did a lot of research to get a good range hood for our home. Th3 FOTILE range hood is amazing. It works as described. The sensor works well. I keep getting compliments for the look and choice. I have been using this range for a month now and I can’t wait to share my experience. PROS: 1. Beautiful look and design 2. Ease of use 3. Strong suction 4. Variable fan speeds 5. Powerful LED Lights 6. Dishwasher safe filter 7. Low maintenance CONS: 1. Expensive (A bit pricy) 2. Installation (Needs help, difficult for a single person to install) To sum up: It’s must have for ASIAN COOKING.

If you're an Asian family struggling to vent fumes and smoke through existing household hoods then this is the product for you. I also run restaurants with commercial ventilation requirements so I know a thing or two on the subject, whether it's cooking or venting. This unit is QUIET for it's performance: It vents well but for those who care - this is achieved through minimal/non-baffled/no-filter system - Which means you can expect accelerated buildup of grease in the duct systems and associated problems in the downstream vent stack eventually. But to be fair I think every one of these hoods I've come across that was designed for Asian households just needs to be this way to work... Fotile just makes it look good while doing the job. The aesthetics is pretty to look at in a home environment and the slanted design recovers a lot of usable room above the cook surfaces by locating the motors in areas where the users are unlikely to reach at. Overall it's a well through out product... with a price point to match (it's not cheap). Bottom line I'm happy with this choice.

Buy it, it works! And its quiet! Likes: works exactly as stated, easy cleaning, very quiet on low and medium, strong performance on high and stir fry mode is a nice touch, although high seems to work just fine for me. Very bright white lights, touchless on/off is a super handy feature when you have dirty cooking hands. Dislikes: pricey, heavy, install instructions are just ok and a handy person can figure this out. I installed this unit on an exterior wall, my 6inch piping is not longer than 3 feet total and only 1 large diameter 90 degree bend to a very free flowing vent. Maybe that's why I dont need higher fans speeds when cooking. I usually just use low. Medium when ove self clean and when I've got steak searing on a hot cast iron pan. I've not had it long enough to get any drips in the oil catch pan. It does not snap in place it just slides and rests where it's at. Doesnt seem to move so not concerned. I installed this and the ductwork all by myself with some online reading. Even drilled the masonary wall hole. I came from a over the range (OTR) microwave that only recirculated the air. My ceiling and cabinets are greasy and sticky from this useless OTR. I also like the 2 minute cool down when done cooking. Nice touch! Very happy with this sleek, almost pro level, modern design and functional range hood.
