I’ve now purchased several sets of these lights over the last 2 holiday seasons, as they are high quality and have neat features like blink modes. They are also long strands and I’ve even outlined 3 large windows with just one strand. They are very bright and long lasting. Maybe one small con is the actual plug comes out about 4 inches from the wall, which can make it awkward to put behind furniture.

The media could not be loaded. I read a review that stated, that the setting would not be remembered if a timer is used.I am using a timer with this product, it DOES remember the twinkle pattern that I have preavously selected before powered off.When powered on, the lights DO remember the pattern that I had previously selected!They have limited patterns and are almost too bright for my application, but that is me saying they are very bright and are working good so far.

I bought 3 sets of these a few years ago and they have all worked fine together and are just the right amount for our 9 foot tree. I combine them with warm white incandescent twinkle lights also. This year I had a different decorating use for one of the strands and figured it wouldn't be a problem to order another set that would match the two remaining stands when I put my tree up. Well, the strands look identical, but when I connected the new strand to an old one, I was annoyed that they were out of sync. I like to use the red/yellow fade to blue/green combination, and one strand was on red/yellow while the other strand was on blue/green. I figured I was going to have to live with just two strands on the tree this year, or order all new ones. I seem to recall that I had to play around with different controllers and the order in which the strands were connected in order to get them all to sync originally (no rhyme or reason that I could figure out, but they eventually all worked together). I tried experimenting with the new set and discovered that, while the connectors only seem to fit together in one direction, if I turned the male end of the connector 180 degrees and pressed it to the female end of an old strand, the lights would sync. Unfortunately, you can't fully connect them this way because of the "one direction" limitation of how the connection ends are molded. So, I used a small utility knife to scrape away enough of the connection housing so that I could securely connect one of the strands in the "wrong" direction. Though this makes no sense because I modified a connector on ONE of the old strands, they now all sync perfectly. I realize this is not a good solution for most people, but the MacGyver in me didn't want to settle for two strands on the tree, nor shell out $60 for 3 new sets, that I wasn't even convinced would all work together. I give the lights 4 stars because the original 3 did all work together out of the box and are still working well on their 4th season. They don't come with a remote but the controller is accessible enough that I can use it to change the settings if I want. They come with the standard modes in this price range, but sadly not a true, slow twinkle mode.

With difficulty finding old-fashioned blinking lights from my childhood in the 50's, I decided to try these lights even though my prior experience with lights of this type (multiple modes with most being rapid and random flashing) had not been calming and joyful. Among the 8 lighting choices are a couple that come very close to what I was looking for and that create a beautiful effect on the tree. I had these plugged in 24/7 for 3 weeks to test their reliability, and they passed the test with flying colors.Jo

Good for price, easy to install

I’ve used these lights (green) the past 2 years on one big tree in my front yard. Takes 6 strands of these lights but does a great job to illuminate the whole tree and make it look festive. Since the strand of lights is so long, I just leave them up throughout the year and only connect for the holiday season. I only had to replace 1 strand this year, so for me, they work great.
