This was a fun kit that produced an attractive result. The only downside is that the craft is VERY fussy, requiring very good fine motor coordination. I found I couldn't glue the flowers to the pins before putting the pins in the foam as instructed. It worked better to put the pins in first and then glue the flowers to them. Still, this was a VERY fussy project. I thought when I finished that the glue wouldn't hold, and that it would be a complete bust, but I was pleasantly surprised that the glue actually holds very well after it is dry. The finished product is very pretty, and the creativity potential is high, since you can produce any arrangement that you want. The flower cut-outs are good quality and the kit includes TONS of them; way more than needed for one shadow box. This is a good thing; it means you could make more shadow boxes by buying shadow boxes at a craft store and using foam core board cut to size for the backing for the pins. The pins are just regular straight pins, so you could easily buy more if you need to. Or, if you found the project too fussy, you could save the leftover flowers to use in other craft projects; they would be great for making greeting cards. A way to make this kit easier for those who find it too frustrating would be to replace the pins with small foam mounting squares or dots; those would be easier to use and still produce a 3-D effect. Overall, this is a good kit if you don't mind doing a fussy project.

It was fun and interesting to do. I also found that it made a nice gift either as a kit or completed project. It is always fun working with different textiles.

So far I have made two crafts with this package, and I still have a BUNCH of flower pieces left! I am thinking what to use as the base for another one. (#2 used a small wooden fig box with the pins anchored upside down to hold the flowers.)Adults might need to get some tweezers to hold the smaller flower pieces.It has been a fun stress reducer.

This is not appropriate for anyone. Too small of pieces for kids, but the craft is at the mental level of a toddler. The glue as too old to use. Overpriced junk.

My adult daughter looked at this and then proceeded to never look again. It was too "young" for her. I agreed when I looked at what I could see. So, I gave it a three, because if you are buying for a younger audience, maybe 10 - 14 years it could be a winner for you.
