It is a bit smaller than anticipated. I was expecting it to have a bit more volume, but it fits the necessities for me. The water bottle holder on the exterior is definitely too small for a lot of today’s popular tumbler styles. It would fit a standard 16.9oz plastic bottle, but not much else. The main compartment holds my laptop, cord, mouse, clipboard with letter size pad, large pencil case, medium paper tablet, and a medium zipper pouch. I think a legal size tablet could fit as well. I appreciate how the middle compartment is padded. My tablet fits with plenty of room and it can also accommodate a bulky tablet case. The smallest compartment is very tight- it holds no more than paper receipts and a flat pack of gum. I like how it stands up on its own and is quite balanced when loaded with my stuff. It doesn’t flop over immediately. It is a nice, basic, compact style that I’d be happy to take anywhere. Here’s hoping it holds up well over time.

After 2 weeks of use, magnetic latch on front flap fell out. Daughter likes look and utility but it is not holding up.

I wish I could give this 5 stars but there are too many little things wrong. I use this for work primarily to carry around my laptop and all the HR paperwork I have. I am a fairly wide person (short but wide) and the shoulder straps are uncomfortable; they hit right in the armpit area. I wish they had about two more inches of padding. Also, there is only one zipper pull on the smaller pockets and that is annoying. The side pockets are edged in leather which is good to stop the fabric from fraying but make putting in a water bottle difficult. Overall, its okay and I love the look but I wouldn't buy it again.

It doesn't fit very much in the pockets but it is good for hiking or school if you don't carry around your books. The small pockets on the sides don't fit regular sized bottles but it's convenient for portable devices and the charger port does work.
