Best product for the pool I've ever seen!
We started with Fred's Swim Academy Swim Trainer Classic when my daughter was just over a year old, and it is the best water product I have ever seen or used. It gives the child the freedom to swim while being secure and within arms length of a parent. She can put her face in the water (which she LOVES), something other flotation devices don't allow, and can relax and just float between energy bursts. We've moved up to the larger size and are still extremely happy with this product. I'm not sure what we'll use when she outgrows the trainer (she is special needs and will likely never be able to swim unaided), but for now, we're thrilled with summer season and this amazing product.

Confident little swimmer!
Our 2 1/2 year daughter enjoyed going in the pool but despite swim lessons was not comfortable unless she was held by my husband or myself. Until we discovered this when we saw another child wearing it in the pool. Pretty much immediately she started floating independently, in swimming position, kicking her legs. Where water wings, noodle and other floating devices failed us, this one worked! It's wonderful seeing her getting confident in the water! I just stress though that this is not to be used with full supervision!

41lb 3yr old Enjoys it.
Seems like it won't make it to 60+pounds, float already sits quite low almost under in the water even with it fully inflated. Also seems to want to flip with any larger movements by child even when on perfectly according to directions. Definitely stay right there hands on. Other than that my child really likes it.

Very small and irritating white plastic
Quite small.

Too small for baby
The child has to be able to keep his head upright continuously because water collects between the front of the child and the tube. If the child leans down towards the water, he gets a mouthful. I assumed that the float would be big enough to hold the head up (it is actually kind of small)....We won't be using it.

Picked this up for my 3 year old who has been afraid of the water. After the 2nd use, he is paddling around the pool. I am impressed with the design and functionality. Tempted to pick up a spare just in case.
