Movo VXR40 Supercardioid Broadcast Shotgun Condenser Microphone with Furry Windscreen, Boom Mount and Camera Mount

My microphone was defective and DOA, I was in a big predicament because I have a shoot two days after I got it, so no time to send it back and wait for a replacement. The people from MOVO was extremely helpful, they went way out of their way to make things right, so even when the mic didn't work in the beginning, I am extremely pleased with the experience and will buy another one in a hart-bit. By the way after a lot of work I manage to rewire the mic and got it to work, so now I am also very pleased with the mic. I am a semiprofessional and this mic produces results that are comparable and even better than many more expensive microphones. I can not compare to one of those $1,000 mic because I do not have one, and my advice is if you are a pro making good money from your work, maybe you should get one of those $1,000 mics, but if not, this one will give excellent results until then.

Not exactly professional grade, but then again neither is the price.It works well enough, but does pick up A LOT of sound to the side and not much straight ahead in the distance, which is what I thought these things were supposed to do.I was using this at football games to pick up the sounds on the field. It worked well enough. No issues and using Duracell batteries it lasted an entire 3 day weekend, even when I forgot to turn it off at night.

I bought this item in November. It turns out my DSLR doesn’t have an external mic jack, so I kept it stored until I bought an audio recorder. I finally bought an audio recorder yesterday and attempted to use the external shotgun mic from Movo for the first time. Long story short, the mic doesn’t work AT ALL. I even went out to buy new AA batteries in case the ones I had were the problem. I tested the audio recorder with other mics and my headset. The audio recorder works fine with everything else. I just read the other reviews on here saying that the mic stopped working after a month. I never even got to use this. I’m very disappointed and would return it if it wasn’t past the return date. I figured the least I could do was post a review to warn others.

I'm only an amateur at filming, but I know this microphone is a whole lot better than my previous mic. It's metal so it doesn't feel cheap. Works really well with my Juicedlink preamp. The sound is crisp. I'm not on the move with the mic. It's set up in my recording room so I can't speak on how it maybe if your on the run in the elements with it. It's awesome as far as I'm concerned.

The mic captures amazing sound, and looks great too. But i had 2 problems with it: the camera mount for it wore down very fast and would turn loosely because the grooves wore away, and the wiring directly leaving the mic must have wiggled loose because after about 2 weeks moving the wire while capturing audio resulted in static and crackling and silence. Durability is the biggest issue, but I expected it for the price it was despite sounding very good.

Sound is good but cable started to crackle in just two or three weeks of use. Had to tape the end into a loop to keep it from ruining audio. Returned and bought a more expensive audio technical with xlr inputs.

It's not too good if you want to record music, but for beginner film makers or someone looking for something cheap it works very well. It came with all of the appropriate parts needed.

Really nice mic, i had to buy it because my teammates complained about background music, this mic fully mufflles it as it should.They do not even hear the music anymore.I bought http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PAW6EG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage to go with it and fine combo, i have been using the same battery for a month and use the mic about 2 hours a day.It's got some freaking crazy battery life.
