Given more for a picture book to stimulate love of all animals for my 4 yr old grandson. Requires someone to read content and discuss pictures with him. Knew it would be something for him to “grow in to”. Lovely photos and descriptions. Nice keepsake and reference book. Maybe I bought it more for my needs! Would buy again.

I recently purchased the Smithsonian "Zoology: Inside the Secret World of Animals" book for $17, and it's absolutely fantastic (still the same price, too!). My initial thought was to give this as a Christmas gift, but once I saw it, I immediately changed my mind – it's simply too gorgeous and high-quality to part with! This book is full of amazing photos and explanations for everything! I highly recommend it! My 16 year old son loves it!

We love this book. We sit with our daughter and read about different animals throughout the week. She loves learning about them and so do we. The book is well made, very sturdy, and the colors in the pages are bright and colorful. The colors aren’t dull or faded like other books can be when you buy them online. And the price is great compared to having to buy it for an arm and a leg at other places. Well worth the buy.

Amazing book. This was for my 16 year granddaughter who is delving into the world of Zoology, Anthropology, and Paleontology. I have gotten her several hard cover books on the above subjects and she reads them cover to cover. Great graphics and tons of information.

This is a great book for a child or light reading perhaps on a coffee table in the living room. However I purchased it for a more in depth description on the animals that it covered. The images provided did not give a clear understanding of the format of the book. No complaints on the actual book, it just was not what I was wanting.

It's a book...ha. Seriously though, its exactly what you expect. The book is heavy and well made with countless high quality entries.

Nice book a lot of complex information told in simple ways making it interesting to understand. Goes through heaps of general evolutionary process and adaptions of animals! Great book

El libro, por su contenido, es una maravilla. Si embargo la encuadernación es defectuosa. La unión de las páginas con las tapas es poco mas que una cartulina y con el peso que tienen las páginas dicha cartulina se rasga y las tapas se separan. El método de encuadernacion usado es una chapuza y una decepción respecto a otros libros que tengo de la misma editorial. Lo compre para un regalo y la presentación en este caso es importante. Estoy pensando en devolverlo porque se va a acabar separando las tapas en cuanto se hojee unas pocas veces.
