NETGEAR Wireless-N 300 USB Adapter (WNA3100) - Manufacturer Refurbished

We had some reservations before buying a refurbished item however all the parts were in brand new condition both cosmetically and functionally. I bought the “NETGEAR Wireless-N 300 USB Adapter (WNA3100) - Manufacturer Refurbished” for a new home office which is located in our basement. Before buying the adapter the internet connection was very spotty and I could not get any work done. I was going to have my husband wire a cable from the router on the first floor to the basement but after doing some research I found that using an USB network adapter would be easier and far more cost effective. Once it was up and running things were perfect!We have had the “NETGEAR Wireless-N 300 USB Adapter (WNA3100) - Manufacturer Refurbished” for a few days and it works perfectly. I may even buy a second one for my husband since he is periodically away on business and always in need of a strong internet connection. A great buy for anyone looking to improve their internet connection.

Once installed it worked really well and i had a constant high speed connection.it just started doing this a week ago but if the connection needs to be reset (as in the router/modem gets unplugged)the only way to re-connect is to restart my pc which is pretty annoying as you can imagine. As other customers have said, on the back the model number or some such code has been sharpied over so you cant read it.all in all its a very nice little adapter but be prepared for an unstable network connection

I hestitated buying this refurbished item, but am more than happy. It arrived quickly and was easy to install. I knew it did not come with software as I researched the feedback prior to buying. Since the computer I installed this in was already in my office it was easy to just connect it to my router and download the necessary drivers/software. I tested the range and was very happy. I installed this in an older PC for my granddaughters to use in their room above the room where the router was. It's been serveral weeks now and everything is working perfecting. For the price and for the great connection it was a great purchase.

Refurbished... i think not. In order to get this to work, i had to apply constant upward pressure to the adapter while in the usb port. no other peripherals need this pressure to work at 100%. when inserted normally, it doesn't do a thing. Avoid this junk product.

Okay...I sure wish I could have given this a 5 star because I know the product itself (NEW) is terrific and very user friendly. However, we had to return this item for a refund because it would not maintain the connection. Usually Manufacturer refurbished works fine, but this one did not. From now on, will only buy NEW Netgear products (not refurbished).

these netgear wireless-n 300 adapters work quite well, although they do tend to drop connection from time to time. This one is replacing an old D-Link adapter that will not work on anything past Vista. I have been using the N-300 on another computor for 4 years now and you can not let windows update the driver otherwise it will end up transmitting @54 megabits instead of up to 300. Another thing is that you do not get soft ware with the adapter so you have to down load it ahead of time. The one that works best with this adapter is Netgear WNA3100_v1.1.2.16 setup exe. Download this to your computor or to a flash drive before you install your adapter, install the soft ware first then the adapter.

It is one of those catch 22 dealios becasue you are buying this so you can get internet. So use another computer with connectivity and download the driver from Netgear. Clue: It is not all that easy to find but it is there. Once you find it, simply download it onto a usb stick or other media. Then load it on the computer that will use the adapter and you are done. Mine works great. This is used on the wifes computer and she hated the last one I bought because she said it was slower. This one is very fast.

I didn't have a internet hook up near my office/dining room so I needed wireless access for my desktop. This thing is no frills but it works very well and was easy to set up. ****you do have to go on the website to get the installation software*** so be aware of that. My desktop is about 30 feet away from my router and I get full signal.Apparently this is no longer available. I think I paid $10 for it and it was worth every penny.
