No more oil leaks, very happy with the price

I returned the Felpro and AC Delco units because the metal part is in two or three pieces tacked together. This Mahle is one single piece of metal which means it's less likely to warp and leak. I have a 4x4 and this isn't an easy job to do and it's ridiculous these name brands are selling oil pan gaskets with the main structure in multiple pieces. Cheapos.

Put this on my 5.3 suburban when I rebuilt the engine. 13k miles later still no leakage. Will update if it starts leaking. And I did a awful job with putting gasket maker on the sections that needed it, when to put the pan onto the block and I straight up lost my balance and smeared it everywhere.

Fit perfectly. No leaks. Be sure to use RTV (black) on the four corners of the engine block that meet the front and rear covers. Those surfaces where uneven by about 1/16" on my Avalanche so I'm sure they would have leaked eventually without RTV.

Mahle products use the best materials and fabrication processes. Ive never had a mis-fit or misalignment issue with Mahle.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Does not meet OEM specs. Susceptible to leaking. Had to replace gasket again
