In 2009 General Motors unveiled a new concept car that was a hybrid called the ConverJ. This car was unveiled at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and the Orange County Auto Show. Unfortunately this concetp car would not go into production for several years. In 2011 an announcement from reveiled that the ConverJ will be produced as the Cadillac ELR. This eco friendly yet stylish hybird has been painted a candy apple red with the Cadillac markings. It features opening doors and comes mounted in a nice display case.
