Unlikely but possible, with limitations. This controller is designed to operate with mini-splits. However, we have had reports of customers having partial successes with window units and portables (no swamp coolers yet). "Partial" because not all buttons worked and, in some cases, buttons labelled with a certain function perform a different function. Please note that in order to try it out (you have 30 days to return) you will have to go through a lengthy auto-search process (about 1.5 hours for this model).
