Great Value For Price and Speed
I will be quick and concise as possible with my review. I needed USB memory stick to transfer large blu-ray rips 10GB and television shows. I never purchased a USB memory but initially purchased this item: Kingston Digital DataTraveler 101 Generation 2 - 32 GB Flash Drive DT101G2/32GBZET http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TS1J1S/ref=oh_o06_s00_i00_details However the write speed were atrocious writing at a speed of 5MB/Sec. It took about 40 minutes to transfer one blu-ray rip which was not going be practical. So returned it decided on this item which was only an extra $10 to get a USB 3.0 stick. Tested it out first on USB 2.0 since I'm chugging along with a five year old desktop that doesn't have USB 3.0. I'm getting speeds of 25MB/sec which is 500 percent faster than my returned USB 2.0 stick and transferring 10GB blu-rays around 4 minutes. I decided to purchase a PCIE express card to get USB 3.0 listed here: 2-Port USB 3.0 Super Speed PCI Express (PCIe) Card Adapter by JACOBSPARTS http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005JEOM4C/ref=oh_o04_s00_i00_details I went from 25MB/sec to about 35-40MB/sec write speeds with USB 3.0 I was thinking of also buying a "Patriot Supersonic 32 GB USB 3.0 High Performance" stick, however this item was $20 more about 33 percent more with reviewers claiming 60-70MB/sec write speeds on USB 3.0. It has high reviews but always be careful with post-purchase rationalization with more expensive items getting better reviews simply just for being more expensive. This item was plenty fast enough for my needs and the marginal difference for paying 33 percent more for about marginal transfer speed increase that would probably shaved off out 1 minute from a transfer time of 4-5 minutes did not justify the higher price. This item earns five stars for the price, speed, and value of having faster speeds.

Nowhere near the advertised speed it's actually much faster
Much faster than it's advertised as being. With CrystalDiskMark sequential (Seq Q32T1) I get: Read: 109.3 MB/s Write: 43.28 MB/s In real-world writes like any flash drive it's all over the place with dips and then some sustained or bursts into the 40 MB/s range. It's a fast drive for the 32GB class. Mine died on 12/29/2019 after several months of heavy use, however Transcend offer a free tool that will set their JetFlash branded drives that are having issues back into the factory default state and re-write the firmware, it's a free tool called 'Transcend JetFlash Online Recovery' which they have available on their official website.

32 gig USB Flash drive
Wow it's hard to believe the drop in prices and the speed of the newer units - - this drive is smoking fast - and 32 gigs for this price - WOW - if you want a fast drive this is it - - and a life time warranty - - well you cann't beat that - fast - big and life time warranty -- I put it on a USB port on my Asus wireless router as an ex drive - works great -

Amazing product
I finally filled my Mac's hard drive and was getting nasty little messages about lack of space. My last flash drive (maybe about 7-8 years ago) was one GB--and I thought that was really great! When I started shopping this time, I was amazed to see this 32 GB drive (there is even a 64 GB drive!). I have moved a bunch of my iDVDs/iMovies to this flash drive and it has cleared a ton of space on my Mac's hard drive. Just think how many GBs these little cuties will hold in a few more years!!!

Very fast
As it ought to be, due to the fact that it's a USB 3.0 pendrive, is VERY fast, and that's exactly what I need. It's a bit big, but I didn't find a more compact USB 3.0 pendrive.

Hi readers, I got this device just to make myself a secure blowfish encrypted debian pocket OS with these criterias in my mind. #1. Portable - yes portable, very much portable. #2. Light weight - yes very light weight, compared to carrying a hdd or ssd. #3. Fast - Yes its usb3.0 so it works with usb 2.0 as well. #4. value for money - yes, carrying this in wallet or around the neck or as a wrist band is much better than carrying a HDD/SSD. pros - design : sleek speed - fast (i dont have the IO values right now), but works fast even with heavy encryption like blowfish. impressive. safe - yes, but they could make the case a little tough. cons - packaging - i hope they could bring more creativity and imagination in packaging the shell. because its hard to put the latch. works well with debian wheezy/jessie, root encrypted with twofish 256 bit plainxts with full disk encryption. and i see minimal lag, this is the same lag i see with my magnetic HDD and also SSD. but as of now the drive is working nice and upto his full capacity and capability. but the pen drives are notorious to die off quickly. i hope it doesnt die as quickly as my other pen drives and also the speed is like this for a long time. over all nice device to play and work with. and if you are into IT as an admin. and you need to worry about safety and security and carry data along with you then this device does the job. install it, fill it with data and forget it. it will work (provided you dont lose your drive). hope this helps. thanks! -paul
