I love it. I got it as a mistake honestly— thought I was getting a bigger product for my work desk. So initially I was disappointed. But I started using it at my work desk anyway and it worked really well so I didn’t return it.Fast forward to moving across the country. I put this in my car just to see if it worked as advertised. Driving 5 days hauling a trailer is nerve racking stuff. But I would put some eucalyptus oil in there, fill it up and turn it on and holy moly. Road trips have become so much more enjoyable. I’ve taken out all my car air fresheners. I enjoy this thing so much in my car.I love that you can detach it from the back to make it easier to fill it up. I keep this in my car all the time now and put it on any time I’m feeling stressed, whether I’m running errands or just going for a drive. I keep a small water bottle in the car now too to easily fill it up because it does run out pretty quickly (it’s a small container plus I’m in warm weather environment so it evaporates too). But boy oh boy. I love this thing haha.My friends joke that it’s impractical because it takes up a whole cup holder. But I just easily put it in the back cup holders when I have passengers in the car. I guess it wouldn’t be good if you only have 2 cup holders for the whole car, but mine has 4 and the back 2 never get used so it works perfect. Go get your favorite essential oil and make your car rides even more enjoyable.Update: 7 months later. I got into a pretty serious single car wreck. That has nothing to do with this item. But after the car wreck, I couldn’t find the lid to my car oil diffuser. I was going through some pretty stressful times and really wanted it. I searched everywhere for the lid but couldn’t find it. It still worked, turned on and worked but without the lid, water got everywhere. I loved this thing so much I bought a replacement. Now I’ve found a second use for it: while traveling, I can bring this inside to hotel rooms or airbnbs to get decent sleep. I used to have trouble sleeping in different locations and I’ve been going through a lot of PTSD lately (partly because of car wreck) and now I have this portable mini essential oil diffuser I keep in my car, so I can just bring it inside and use wherever it’s needed when I’m traveling.I highly recommend it.

Product stopped working after 2 uses. Very disappointed. In theory everything would have been perfect if it continued to work. UPDATE! Their amazing customer service team reached out for a replacement. The new one works perfect and I guess there was a fault in the old one. Really happy with this product.

See UPDATE below. Hurray Innogear!I liked, but didn't love it. For the price, it could have done more, but it worked and did a better job of filling a small room with more scent using less oil and water than some larger diffusers — until three weeks after the return window closed. Then, the switches suddenly stopped working. It was on when they broke. They wouldn't change anything when pressed. I unplugged and emptied it to see if it might help, knowing that I would probably not ever get it to turn back on. I was right.Also, the black plastic on the top is not well suited for that use. After a while of having essential oil and water mist falling on it, the plastic starts to dissolve, even if you clean it regularly. I had to wipe black plastic goop from around the inside a couple of times, and wiping the top would leave black plastic residue on the towel. I've never had a diffuser do that — not even the $10 units that look disposable.Have contacted the the manufacturer, and will be sure to update this review with their response. Maybe I just got a bad unit.UPDATE ON SERVICE:Innogear responded within a day requesting a video of the problem and my address. I was slow to reply due to health issues, so they sent a reminder email a couple of days later! I sent the video on September 17 and had the replacement on September 18. It was so fast I had to check the dates to make sure I wasn't losing my mind! So I bumped this up to 4 stars. It would get 5 if they made the top out of material that doesn't degrade when exposed to essential oil and water mist. I know there are plastics that can handle it because my nebulizing diffuser gets straight EO mist falling on it all night and it's fine.NOTE TO DIFFUSER SHOPPERS:I got another diffuser that costs 30% less, holds six times the amount of water, and has a remote, so unless you absolutely MUST have something that fits in a cup holder, I’d get something else. And, while this would be good for people with long commutes, a water mist diffuser may not be the best choice for around-town drivers. You can't leave the water in the car, so you'll have to dump it every time you go for a drive! I bought a much more expensive, nebulizing diffuser that was cup-sized since I could just leave the pure EOs in it, but it never worked. Amazon gave me a REALLY hard time about returning it, and there was no support from the company. I'd avoid those, but that's based on one bad experience. There's another cup-sized, nebulizing diffuser on Amazon that had a two-year warrantee. I'd look for that one. The only reason I didn't buy it was because it had a max runtime of two hours. There's always a caveat!

With what passes for winter coming on, it seemed a portable thing like this would be good to have in the car. Keep it fresher. I like the idea of aromatherapy and my husband forgets his scent training many times a day. Two birds with one stone, I thought.This is a very small unit. Soda can size. Anything much bigger than a car would not work out. You could probably put it on a desk and be okay at or near it, but not catch a scent elsewhere in the room.Being portable, it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to include a rechargeable battery. For unknown reasons they did not. The lights are not soothing and can be turned off. It is easy enough to use and includes a set of instructions.The scent doesn’t travel far, but it works well within its little area. It has something like a power saver mode, which I didn’t have the opportunity to try. I can’t imagine it being effective at dispersing an aroma far.Like so many others, the one I received stopped working after a couple of hours. Since it is so very inexpensive I may not have returned it, but the one I received has been returned before. Open box. I was annoyed. This was my second such experience in less than a couple of weeks (the previous box was empty and way more expensive).Anyway, if it works after a couple of hours it’ll probably run for its natural life. It’s a good value. I decided to try waterless instead. Seems like a better idea for running in a car.I hope this is helpful to someone. Thank you for reading.

Other than swapping colors doing nothing, I threw in the trash after two days! Really do not recommend
