Gourmegg is artisanal spice made with love in small batches. Founders Chris Crittenden and Ben Gruber met at a coworking space-both working for different companies but drawn together by the power of entrepreneurialism and a passion for food. Ben, a computer programmer by trade, grew up with a high-end caterer as a Mom. Chris, who had a short stint as an investment banker, had been moonlighting as a deft dinner party connoisseur since high school. One morning, while discussing breakfast (what else?), Chris mentioned a spice blend he came up with on the fly to flavor his eggs.
