Easy peasy!Instructions were great. No assembly required. Set my blades perfect!

I waited way too long to buy this knife setting jig. I have a couple of vintage jointers and I always set the knife's myself because I am just that good...lmbo. They ain't never right. After building a very nice piece of furniture ( Twice ) I broke down and convinced myself that I should buy this jig, maybe it might help, Maybe. OH GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN, This jig worked so fast and WELL, I was mad at myself thinking you dummy you spent hours trying to set knife's and this jig did it in just a few minutes. If you don't have a machine that auto sets knife's get yourself one or even two just in case.

It worked pretty well. The magnets were strong. There are a couple of videos on Youtube showing a couple of different methods on how this jig is used if you need help. I preferred using a different method than shown in the instructions. The only thing you need to watch for is that those little magnets in the bottom are so strong they will stick to your Jointer table when you try to pull it off, so sliding it off the table is preferred. Since a couple of these magnets came out of there sockets I found it necessary to push down at the front end of the jig when tightening down the knives. I used a dial indicator to double check that the blades were even with the out-feed table.

I wish I had this years ago. It makes leveling your knives a breeze.

I finally decided to change my jointer blades (after changing my planer blades and seeing the amount of tear out go to virtually zero). Without this jig the process would have taken a lot longer and may not have been as accurate. I do pretty high end furniture work but I'm not convinced that you actually need a dial gage. . . we'll see after I get a few hours in on the new blades.I'd buy this again in a second.

I am new to woodworking and I nicked my brand new blades in the first week! Rookie mistake haha. I bought replacement blades and I new it would be tough to get them perfectly adjusted. I bought this hoping it would help. HOLY MOLY It helped soooo much! This literally saved me hours of fiddling and adjusting. If you used straight blades on a jointer, do yourself a favor and buy this!

Great little product the makes the job of replacing your jointer knives much easier. It's a task no one really looks forward to, but it has to be done and the Jointer Pal takes some of the agony out of the process. Decent directions and a well made product.

Compre este producto para calibrar las cuchillas de la canteadora, antes tardaba mucho para hacer este proceso, igual intente con otros productos chinos similares y eran igual de tardados y no tan precisos, con este en 10 minutos puedes cambiar las cuchillas por otras y dejarla bien calibrado.

This Jointer Pal worked perfect, it has strong magnets to hold it and and blades in place. Well made and a great price.

Works well enough. They are not as solid as I would like and you have to make sure they are parallel before setting your blades. For the price you get what you pay for. I’ll use them for now until I can afford a metal set.

These worked Perfectly. I recommend them. I have had nothing but trouble trying to get a perfect set up for my blades and this did it.
