First, this filter is a direct replacement for the Honeywell filter box/filter (Honeywell FC100A1011 20 x 20 x 4, for either Merv 11 or Merv 13). The size of this filter is a perfect fit. It is not a discount product; it is an upgrade! It gets 5 stars because everything about this filter is exemplary. It was packaged in a sturdy box by the manufacturer and therefore arrived in perfect shape. The filter build quality is second to none. The fit and finish of the filter is exemplary and top notch. It is a higher quality product than the OEM Honeywell filter. I got the Merv 13 + Carbon filter (the OEM Honeywell comes as Merv 11 and Merv 13). After a few days of use, the air quality of my house is noticeably better. It just feels fresher. If you are looking for an upgrade and improvement, look no further. This is the filter to get.

Excellent! I have been buying from Nordic Pure for a long time, through and for different AC systems. Always excellent for the availability of high MERV ratings, additional options (carbon layer), reasonable price, and excellent packing and shipping. I recently got a new HVAC system with an uncommon filter size, and am so glad I found a match from Nordic Pure. The filter ships fast, I can buy and do it myself (no expensive tech visits or artificial markups), and the packaging ensures the filter integrity is preserved.

why they would call anything 20x20x5 if it's not? 2x4s are not 2x4 because after milling the surfaces smooth(ish) they take 1/4 inch off all 4 sides, this is stamped and folded cardboard, there is no reason for it to NOT be 20 inches by 20 inches by 5 inches. If it's not it should be marketed as such. Actual dimensions I think are listed somewhere in the product description but I did not notice that when I purchased it. as measured it actually even has a slightly longer side. One side is just over 19.75 inches and the other is just over 19.5 inches by 4.25 inches. It barely fits in the enclosure space of our furnace where our last filter fit nice and snug. We can fit either 4.5 or full 5 inch filter, but it's designed to hold an exact 4.5 x 20 x 20 inch filter. PROs: Has a thin layer carbon filter to reduce random odors. Has a MERV14 rating (but if the dimensions are not accurate I wonder about it's merv rating) CONs: Not actual dimensions, smaller than our previous brand, barely fits in the enclosure space. Expensive Overall I still am giving a good rating as it is still a good filter, although expensive for not being the same as the listed size (right in the title says 20x20x5 but it's not) It is my own fault for not reading the fine print, I never expected a lump of cardboard would be undersized from it's listed dimensions. I guess they assume everyone expects things to be smaller than they claim. Double check your furnace space and verify with product dimensions and proceed with caution I guess. What happened to a time when your furnace says it uses a size and you could go out and buy that listed size and it would just fit?

Our regular HVAC service used to sell us these, but they are cheaper to buy online. These seems to last 6-9 months before needing replacement. They seem pretty sturdy to me and appear to do a good filtration job.

I've been using these filters for two or three years now. You get two filters for less money than the cost of one filter from an HVAC supplier. These are the same filters the HVAC service folks sell and can be installed by a 10 year old. Save yourself money and purchase these.
