Honestly I wasn't especting too much out of it, but it's a nice size and actually works well. I'm glad I got this because I'm also ordering a monitor to attach to my old 2012 Mac which only has 2 USB ports. So the fact that I can charge my mouse (when needed to), have the USB for the wireless mouse in, a USB for a keyboard, and the fan for my laptop lap-desk thing, is great. If I need to, I could even have my drawing tablet connected to it and still have left over ports. So it's all good!I also love the fact that it can be turned on and off for each individual port. And when it's on it will have a blue light that comes on. It didn't want to connect my external hard drive for some reason, but maybe it's the hard drive itself. Either way, I prefer my external hard drive directly connected to my laptop (so both USB ports on my laptop are used at all times anyway).

I have several of these and they work well.

Update: Changed to a 4 star rating. USB port 1 was shorted but the seller reached out to me and offered a refund for the product. To me this represents excellent customer service. I found the issue with USB port one was the -DATA and VCC pins were shorted to the socket shell, imo, this could happen to any device. I moved the pins and cleared the short but the deformed pins aren't making contact with anything I plug in so at this point it's a 6 rather than 7 port splitter. 6 ports are working fine and I find having a switch for each to be useful.

Love that there are so many ports and that they can each be separately controlled by a switch.

If you're like me and you have a bunch of electronics with USB cords and no place to plug them in at, you need this product. It's sleek design and small size means that it won't take up a lot of room, and it comes with 7, yes 7, USB ports, which is more than most USB hubs. And it's a lot cheaper than others as well. Also, it comes with switches for each port which allows you to turn that port on and off depending on whether or not you're using the device, which is a nice feature. I highly recommend this product and I hope you like it as much as I do.

You get what you pay for, for sure. The ports are cheaply made one of the 2 units I purchased had a damaged USB port. Additionally the ports do not securely accept and hold USB cable. Easily pulled out if the cables are accidentally tugged.Had some issues with device recognition fluctuation (i.e. they were dropping off and reinstalling repeatedly), and after looking this unit over, I noticed the receptacle for a power cord. I didn't want to purchase power cords for these and decided to go with a USB power cord, (SCOVEE 3Pack 6FT 5V DC Power Cord USB to DC 3.5mm x 1.35mm Barrel Jack Adapter Connector Charging Cable Plug) which solved the problem of device fluctuation.Other than that, they work OK now that they have the additional power.

I bought this because naturally I needed additional USB inputs for my MacBook Pro, but I’m finding that some of the ports don’t work and I have to play shift around and try and find which ports have a connection. I’ve had this for just a little over a month, but it’s starting to go out. I don’t move it, it stays in one place. I had an external drive plugged into it and my computer kept freezing and I had to keep rebooting, and rebooting took forever. I decided to plug the drive directly into my computers USB port and all of that went away. Boots right up!I’d look at another unit, because this one is faulty.

At first I was wondering how this could really be useful. But it is. Use one wall outlet and you can plug in 7 electronic items that need to be charged rather than needing 7 outlets and 7 chargers. Takes up much less space and the idea that you can switch off each of the USB spaces by flicking a small switch allows the little device to give all its power to just the items that need it and charge them up faster. I'm probably going to buy a few more!
