Skeleteen Colonial Shoe Buckle Accessories

These do the job. Over a pair of black Skechers, they give the illusion I was looking for. The main piece is black leather with shiny brass metal buckle. I sort of expected plastic, but metal is a very welcome bonus. Just make sure that there is a raised arch space between the outer heel area and sole area. This is so the elastic used to attach them will not be in constant contact with the ground. That would accelerate wear and they won't last long. For the money, they serve my purpose just fine, and when the elastic connection strap breaks, I'll just replace it with new elastic, or in the worst case, order a new set.

Cute, easy to wear, looks authentic! I have used these shoe buckles for my “Manny at Langdon Farms” mannequin’s Columbus Day, a pilgrim for Thanksgiving, and for President’s Day.

Needed something for my son to wear for nursery rhyme day at school. He chose One, Two, Buckle My Shoe. Couldn’t think of what to do, but found these and it worked great! They lasted the whole day at school without breaking.

These are okay... these are made of that cheap halloween costume material. It is held up by elastic so you just wrap it around the arch of your shoe. I wasn't sure if these would hold up for an entire night of partying and walking around so I ended up returning them.

Removable shoe buckles were included in a pilgrim costume I bought. However they are made of plasticized fabric -- and I believe metal is best (right?). I purchased a second pair but despite being described as consisting of "polyester and metal" there is no trace of metal that I can find. Trying again, I ordered a pair of Skeleteen buckles and lo and behold, the buckles are made of metal! They are not in pristine condition, but are more than adequate. The elastic straps fit underneath my shoes perfectly.

These decorative costume shoe buckles are made of some kind of metal and feel substantial. They slip over your shoes and make any black lace up look like a colonial shoe. They stayed in place all night and I walked around a lot. Good quality, good purchase!
