Coup is a very fun game of trickery and deception that is relatively easy to pick up. I've had mine for years before doing this review. My friends and I have had many hours of fun yelling and pointing fingers at each other. It is a game that can either be really short or really long depending on the group you're playing with, but typically takes no longer than 30 minutes (usually shorter). The game comes with player cards, coins and cheat sheets containing character abilities for new players to refer to. The cards are relatively thick and have a good texture, whereas the coins are made of thick cardboard, which might feel a little cheap, even if they do serve their purpose well enough. The items come in this rather handy box made out of hard cardboard that protects the items well, but scratches rather easily. I like to bring this out to gatherings because you only need cards and coins, no board, no paper, nothing that requires a hard surface, so it's super easy to play anywhere. I found the game fun, even intensive at times, but not so suitable for younger children, and should probably only be introduced to young teens or older, because the gameplay leans heavily on players interacting with each other and using mind games and deception to trick others while using different abilities to gain certain advantages over others. Younger players mights struggle to grasp the more psychological aspects of the game. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent small group game and it's one of my personal favorites to pull out at game nights. We have played this game for hours and never gotten bored. It sucks you in and you want to get back at the person that eliminated you last round It is a perfect combination of bluffing and elimination. If you like one might werewolf or secret hotel, I would highly recommend you give this one a try for a little more strategic gameplay that is still filled with lots of fun guessing and backstabbing.

Groups with "Alpha Personalities" May Dominate: The reliance on bluffing can favor more assertive players who are comfortable with social deduction games. Overall: Coup is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a quick, intense, and social gaming experience. It's the perfect blend of luck, strategy, and deception, ensuring no two games are alike. While its simplicity might not satisfy strategic power players, it's a must-try for anyone who enjoys bluffing, backstabbing, and a touch of controlled chaos. My friends and I love this game. The rounds change every time you play so it’s always different and if you do get eliminated early, the rounds go very quickly so it doesn’t feel like you are just sitting around forever waiting for the next round.

Love this game so much! I bought it for myself after playing it with some friends and it is an easy game to learn and fun to play with all the strategy involved. It’s a quick game of deception that you can play over and over again and it never gets boring.

A fun indie game to help pass the time and goof around. It isn't hard to get into it but there also isn't much diversity in the cards. All around it's a fun game.

Super fun and portable game! It takes a round or two to get a hang of, but it's a fun group game that you can play with a variety of people. It's fast paced and the cards are well made. I definitely recommend!

I dont know how many times I read the description and the title to find out only when it arrived that it is the expansion game, not the original game

Recommendation: 5 stars Ease to Learn: 4 stars Good for Family: 5 stars Good for Adults: 5 stars Short time to play: 5 stars Value for money: 4.5 stars This game is best learned by someone who has played it. It takes about 3 rounds to understand it sufficiently with someone who has played it. The game is then easy to learn and interesting. We played about 3 rounds in 40 minutes, so each game doesn't take long--about 12-14 minutes. The idea is that each player gets 2 player cards. Each player card has a different character and there are are 3 of each character that does a specific function. You play your role as one of your characters or fib about having a character you don't have. For instance, you say, I am a Duke and will collect 3 money tokens (each turn you get tokens, the number you get is determined by your character cards or your ability to convince everyone else you have a specific card). If someone says they don't think you are a Duke and call you out, you lose a character card if you were lying. If you weren't, they lose a card. When you have 7 money tokens, you can assassinate another player to eliminate one of their character cards. Therefore, collecting money quickly and calling people out who you think are fibbing, is the game. The last person standing wins. There are elements of fibbing, selling, convincing, strategy, and elimination that are all part of the game. My family loves this. The game says 14+ but my 10 year old loves this game and tends to win a lot. If this sounds like fun, consider the Night of the Werewolf game as well--similar time to play, easy to do with the app on your phone and almost zero learning curve. The price is good. I would recommend.

Delivery extra quick, super satisfied, guaranteed many hours of play. Added roles really make this game worth having. Because of the added cards could even make your own game modes. Really fun

O golpe de 1954 seria paradigmático, pois anunciaria uma série de invasões, sabotagens, interferências e derrubadas de governos e regimes realizadas pelo imperialismo estadunidense na América Latina. Coup G54 (conforme é chamado ambas versões) é uma continuação independente do tradicional e consagrado Coup (baseado em cidades-estados italianas), mantendo a mesma mecânica e jogabilidade empolgantes, porém agora com milhares de possibilidades de partida, visto a enorme quantidade de influências e variações de combinações, o que o torna inclusive altamente "rejogável". Em suma, Coup Guatemala 1954/ Rebellion G54 é um excelente jogo de blefe, dedução etc. em que cada partida será uma nova e divertida experiência. Além disso, o que pra mim o faz ser grande e inigualável, o jogo transmite como plano de fundo um ensaio crítico, uma denúncia à política hegemônica e terrorista dos EUA, esta que infelizmente ainda faz jorrar sangue das veias abertas da América Latina.

This game has a multiplier effect i.e the more the players, the more exciting & infectious it becomes. Great family-fun, easy to learn & short playing time. Five star overall!
