SwimWays Poolside Basketball Game

We have a medium sized inground pool. Easy to put together, just stick the poles in the base, fill base with water, attach and adjust net to your pool size and jump in. This is our 2nd purchase of this item. After 8 years the net started fraying, so was cheaper to purchase new set than just the net. Would recommend for a friendly game of volleyball. I would't recommend if more than 2-4 people are playing and no heavy hitters as the base just sits on the sides of pool and is only filled with water. I would think it would toppel over if your to close to the net with to many people playing

We put this item together to play Volleyball and had realized that the bases were not the same. It appeared that in the process of being made that when they went to fuse the two sides together that one side had slipped and didn't form correctly. I e-mailed the company "Swimway" about the issue and with no hassle at all they are sending me two replacements for the bases that had flaws! I then called the company to see if i could purchase replacements parts so that if something should happen to the net or the posts then we would already have the parts we need to fix it and the cost was VERY reasonable for the replacements parts! so i ordered an extra net, and two extra posts so if something should happen to them, we can fix it right away. The customer service was outstanding, the speed of service with swimway was outstanding. i feel very comfortable ordering products from this company and when we are ready to get some new pool "chairs" i will be ordering the items made by Swimway! they seem to stand behind their products and are very friendly!as far as how fun the game is... it is OUTSTANDING! we have really enjoyed it! I am very glad we choose this item out of all of the pool volleyball products that are out there!

For the price it was worth it. Kids enjoy playing in pool and does the trick

Great hoop overall. We got it and only use it for basketball as we got a diff system for volleyball. This one is great with the kids and as long as nobody is going crazy and handing on rim there are no issues. We have had it for a couple months and it looks brand new. It’s not heavy duty but for the price and how compact it is, it’s perfect for us. We use it a few evenings a week in a family game of b-ball. Or pig. It was put together in 5-7 minutes and I filled the base with pool water. Add half a cup of bleach every couple weeks and I haven’t had an issue.

The volleyball set is easy to put together and use. We filled the pole bases with water and snapped the poles into them without any trouble. The net is a nice size (height) and fits our 21' pool with not much left over. There are two drawbacks to this set though. The first is that the weight of the net tends to pull the poles inward at the top, which makes the net sag a bit. For those of you who like a low net for spiking, it won't be a problem. But seriously, it does sag a few inches. We corrected the problem by taking some poly-rope and tying the tops of the poles to our deck rail. So you can get buy this one if you don't mind the tie ropes. The second problem, which is a bigger problem, is that the net only lasted two seasons. I suspect the pool chemicals had a lot to do with it. It seemed to be disintegrating each time we used it. This is our third season with it, and I'm looking for a new net as the ends of the net that tie to the poles have come apart completely so there's nothing to tie to the poles. For the price, it's a good set. Maybe if you rinse the net off with tap water after each use it will last longer, but that's only a guess. If I had to buy it again, I probably wouldn't because of the net. But for an affordable net that's quick to set up, this one should do the trick.

I do not recommend one bit, net out of the box has edges so creased and material is not flexible enough to straighten out to tighten the net. To tighten the net you have to tie it around plastic flimsy light weight posts that even with water fall over at every hit or touch of net. The net kept slipping. Very poor quality and disappointing after 20 min of use we gave up. Sent it back to get $7 refund from seller! Because he told me it was not reusable ! Well it wasn’t usable to begin with hate to tell you. Very disappointing I was ripped off. DO NOT BUY

This pool game set is loads of fun! The flexibility of having two games (basketball or volleyball) in one is nice too. Of course, with the supplied parts, you can only setup one game at a time, but it is pretty easy to change back and forth. The bases do a nice job also of staying in place once you fill them with water. I also like that all the parts are plastic or other materials that will not rust, so there won't be any stains left on my pool deck.My only reason for not scoring a 5 on durability is that one of our bases arrived with a small pinhole leak. The manufacturer promptly processed a warranty claim for me to solve the problem. So I give it 4 stars for durability (I would have only scored it a 1 or 2 if they had not supported the warranty claim). The manufacturer was very helpful and friendly too.

I'm using these for my aqua aerobics class for "game night" once a month. I find that if I roll the net up on one post as I'm taking it down from the pool (taking one post with the net tied on it, pulling it out of the base, then rolling it like a scroll until it meets the opposite post, which I then take out of it's base) I have no trouble with tangles, and no trouble setting up next time. The bases are super easy to fill dunking them in the pool. Getting the water out involves some shaking and isn't my favorite part, but I'd have to take down anything right after class, and the heavy -weight ones you leave in just wouldn't work for me. They will fall over if someone pulls at the net, so I make sure people stand well back as a "game rule." Nobody knocked it over by spiking the ball into the net yet, but we use beach balls, not actual volleyballs. Having some kind of weight to lean on the base-- a bag of sand maybe?-- would make you able to pull the net more taut and higher than I do for class. It takes me about 5 minutes to set up, about 10 to take it down if I shake out all the water and put it in my dufflebag, Sometimes I just empty out most of the water, and then shake out the rest at home over the bathtub so I can store them dry.

Just bought this because we are currently in lockdown in Ontario and we needed something fun to do after working inside all day. The product came as described and was easily set up. very sturdy and fun to play. I would highly recommend it.

Great product however I think the manufacture could have somehow made the base more secure with the post that is put in to hold the net in place. When throwing the ball into the net if you hit the backboard the stem that the backboard is on sometimes turn so the children are forever swimming to the net to turn it back into the position that they first had it. Other than that excellent product.
