Diamond D Leather – Rifle Butt Cuff – Rifle Buttstock Ammo Carrier 6 Loop - 45-70, Brown

I went into this purchase, knowing that this was not a custom fit item. That said, it was a little expensive for a one-size fit product. Some reviews showed a perfect fit on the Henry All-Weather .45-70, so I rolled the dice. Later that week, the item arrived. Right out of the bag, it was clear that this item was made from good leather and quality stitching. The quality is solid. There is an inner flap that is made to wrap around the bottom of the sleeve that you will not see in my pictures. I only have two minor gripes with this product.First, for the Henry H010B .45-70, the stock has a swivel stud embedded at the rear of the stock. The inner cuff would wrap around the swivel stud, making it unusable. I did, however, find an easy fix, and that was to wrap the inner cuff back around to the other side. A couple of little pieces stick out, but it doesn't look terrible.My second gripe is with the lacing provided. The sleeve is constructed from thick, well-stitched leather. Quality was put into this beautiful sleeve, and they provide a stretchy elastic-like lace. I would have preferred more leather with my leather. Paracord would have even been acceptable. Although I can just buy paracord and replace the elastic lace - for near $100, it would have been nice to have a higher quality means of securing the sleeve to the stock.Although it is not a PERFECT fit... it does fit nicely. When pulling from either direction, this sleeve won't budge. The ammo storage fits nice and snug for the .45-70 round. A little effort is needed to get the ammo out but can be done with one hand, and a little snug is definitely preferred over the opposite.

Absolutely love this. Looks amazing on my Henry h010. 45-70 shells fit snug. Craftsmanship is top notch. Did have to punch a hole for my sling. It was a piece of cake to do it.

Like everything else from Diamond D, this is a high quality leather product. It fit my Marlin 1895GBL like a glove. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I hated the elastic lashing that came with it. I’m sure there is a good reason for it, but I opted to replace mine with paracord.

Nice heavy duty leather with soft inner sleeve, which keeps it from slipping on the stock. Recommended.

I love it. Great craftsmanship. Do they make one for a 357 magnum ?If so, I want it.

Description says "You have the option of either leather or elastic bands for added security on your stock"However no leather band or cord was included in the package. Otherwise this is a five star item.

Quality, good stitching, shells fit snug, easy to attach. LOOKS TOUGH. Does not get in the way of shooting on either side. Pay the extra $, this thing will last forever.

Awesome!!!! Put it on my 45-70 Henry golden boy. It "Cowboys" the gun up even further. I replaced the black stretchy cord with leather to take it a step further, no biggie. The round retainers are nice n snug, nice fit. Leather is top notch too. Nice acessory for my buffalo gun.

Rifle shells fit nice and tight so they don’t fall out.Shell holder fits the stock of the rifle great and has a leather wrap that keeps it in place on the rifleIt is not cheap but well worth the moneyWorks best on rifles that do not have a raised cheek rest fits the marlin 45-70 fantastic
