Not understanding the hate reviews
I didn’t need this for an oven range or stove. Instead I had a flimsy plastic knob knob on a toilet bidet break off. What I liked about this product was that the fitting over the shaft was separate from the knob and most importantly the fitting was open on both ends. This meant that I could use a file to customize the opening to fit the bidet’s shaft. As it the r out the latest opening of the various fittings was too small and I did end up using a file. I filed it just enough to get a tight fit and pushed the fitting onto the shaft. The result is that for I don’t have to replace a $50 bidet. So this product saved me money and I will be able to repair the bidets in my other bathrooms when their knobs break off.

Didn’t work perfectly. Knobs kept slipping
Looks good but keeps slipping when I press down on the knob. Then I have to pull up the knob to use it. It may just be my model of stove control knob, but it was dangerous since it would sometimes get stuck. The shiney control digits were hard to see. Also the control readings round sticker didn’t stick to the knob.

They work. But are difficult.
So. You have to tap the inserts in with a hammer. They do not go in easy. Be sure you know which ones you need first. You should put the knob side on a softner and tap the insert itself. The stickers do not stick to the knobs. So you will have to use super glue or some other adhesive.

Works for my Thermador Cooktop with modification!
Thermador no longer makes knobs for our The CEM304CB/01 Cooktop Part # 00429447 nor are they available on eBay or anywhere else that I can find. The yellow insert in this kit fits the metal controller that the knob fits on. However, as another reviewer pointed out, when you have to push the knob down to engage the switch to turn on the electric burner, without some modification the metal piece just goes further up into the knob without engaging it. Based on his remedy of using packing tape into the space above the yellow insert inside this replacement black knob, I put some folded pieces of cardboard that I tore off of an item box. I used 4 small pieces in one knob before I put the yellow insert in the replacement knob, and that has worked so far. I won't be surprised if I have to replace them or reposition them sometime in the future. I needed a pair of pliers to pull the yellow insert out several times until I had the cardboard packing in just right. Good luck but it's working for now

Worked! And super cheap!
Yes, it is true that you must use superglue to glue the oven temperature numbers onto the knob. And yes, it is true that it is a little bit not perfect. I also had to use a vice grip to get the small colored part that is the universal adapter into the knob itself. But ultimately, it works great! I used it on an older model Jen air oven.

Adaptability
A surprisingly difficult part to find. This worked exceptionally well for my 30 year old Maytag stovetop. With all the adapters included, I can not see how this would not fit on just about anything.

They won't always fit.
We were only able to use 1 of the dials.

Pro Tip: buy some Vicegrip pliers instead
This item has a high return rate for a reason: great concept but poor production. We have a late 70s era stack electric range/microwave combo (GE) that we are rehabbing. The kit comes with knobs with various adapter sleeves to fit many different brands, depending on the type and size of stems on you dial. I felt like Goldilocks trying to find the adapter that was just right. None fit the stems well; gray was closest. Then, I tried to fit the sleeve into the knobs. They would not fit at all except one and it would not fully seat into the knobs. That is when I started looking for the instructions (I am a man, afterall, so...). Only, there were ZERO INSTRUCTIONS. I went back to the parts looking for alignment guides on the parts themselves. None found. So save yourselves a lot of frustration and buy a nice set of miniature matching Vicegrip locking pliers. Yes, not as decorative, I know, but 1000 times more effective.
