Awesome Book !
I’ve been wanting to DJ for a while but had no idea where to start. This book had literally everything I needed, it was so thorough! The author explains everything very clearly. And those DJ templates he provides are wonderful too. I guess I just really liked this book lol. I have my first show next week, wish me luck!

Comprehensive detail on becoming an independent DJ. Great information concerning the hardware, software and marketing to DJ events. The author included a full list and description of everything you need to bring to an event. The content was easy to understand and I'm looking forward to utilizing it myself. Highly recommend.

This is the info you need
I can find how to use music software anywhere. This is how to be a DJ from a practical and business point of view. It's like having the mentor you hoped for. It includes all the things you need to know before you even get in the D.J. booth. And after. Highly recommended.

Short book, good read.
I like the templates the most. I dislike the lack of content and options limited to spotify. Limited information holds back a bit, but it is a decent read.

44 pages long.. not even big enough to fit the title on the spine!
This book is a bit of a cash-grab. 44 pages long. That is a very small book!In terms of the info, a lot of it is very specific to the time it was published, and contains links to products which may or may not be available by the time you read this. Also it recommends using Spotify for DJing which is a non-standard tool and something I would not recommend for a number of reasons. The recommendation to use bluetooth speakers is a huge mistake in my view, bluetooth and wireless speakers are not something you should use in a professional AV context when there may be a lot of wireless traffic and electrical noise around!I did learn some things from this book, that's why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. For example, the suggestion to have a card holder at the DJ booth for mobile events is quite a good one, so you can distribute business cards. The recommendation to use sites like TaskRabbit to get mobile DJ gigs is quite a good one, I hadn't considered that kind of gig economy app to get bookings before - have always relied on booking agents. There are much better books out there on DJing though.

For Macbook-"DJs" only...
Every visited link points to hardware tested only for Mac OS.No really useful tips, 'cause there were no tips in using vinyl and CD but only software-djing.Some tips were useless, because they were not practicable in Germany (no permission to use Spotify for music-business).
