Russell Athletic Men's Cotton Basic Tank Top

I use this tank top for gym because it looks good when I am wearing. I consider it my muscle tank top. The only negative feed back I can give is sending me the wrong color for 2 times i purchase. I kept putting light blue and I kept getting dark navy blue. Overall is a good quality and its cheap. I still want that light blue but not sure since they might send me another dark blue instead of the color I really ask for.

I bought these to wear under polo type shirts which I wear for work. I was looking for a tank that I could wear on my noon time without feeling like I'm walking around in my underwear. I also wanted a fabric that was heavier that your run of the mill Fruit of the loom type t-shirt. I ordered an assortment of these shirts in various colors. They are not so big that I'd send them back but in retrospect I should have ordered one to get a sense of the size then I would have ordered more in medium.Sizing when ordering online is always a crap shoot. I'll probably buy more down the road. Overall I'm satisfied. I knocked off a star just because I think they run large.

I needed to make a cheap costume for a school project. Son needed a larry bird Jersey, but would never again wear it after the project, so I wasn't spending all the money for a real Jersey just to sit in the closet after one use. I had an entire pack of printable iron on, so I ordered this tank and downloaded the celtics font and made a Jersey for just over 5 bucks. This shirt is 100% cotton and takes heart from the iron very well so my iron on project turned out perfectly. I couldn't ask for more of of this shirt. It fit him great and he helped me make it so that was much better than just purchasing a Jersey.

I ordered shorts and Tank tops.. the shorts washed well and fit. The Tanks that were 100% cotton washed and dried just a little snug but will stretch some as the material is light weight. In all, I am satisfied, but should have ordered one size larger for tanks. One other note, If I had been able to locate the tanks in local stores, I might have known to get a size larger. Searching the store websites showed that most of these items could have been available " In 6 days" to store or then to be mailed to home. To all the local store fronts that complain the internet (and retailers like Amazon) are killing their sales.. try actually STOCKING the merchandise. This applies to tools, electronics and just about every catagory besides food.You can't compete if you don't even try.

I am a big man and have had an impossible time trying to find a tank top that fits me. I wear an XX, and the ones I have been able to find here in Stockton, CA have been marked as my size, but are so small that I know by the time I wash them once, they will not fit at all.Then I tried Russell's at Amazon. I used to wear Russell shirts years ago when I was much more fit and they were in my opinion the best tee shirt on the market. Somehow, however, they have lost distribution in the major department stores such as Macy's, Penney's, and others.I was pleased to find them on Amazon and ordered one. When it arrived it was PERFECT, and what's more, we've now washed it several times and it still fits great. Almost no shrinkage at all in the wash. although I admit we hang rather than use the dryer to avoid the shirts shrinking.So, I say to Russell and Amazon: "Job well done!"

I originally bought one just to test it out and see if it was worth it. I am 6'4 and slim with an athletic build. I usually take a large but when I am working out I like something a little snug, which is why I got a medium. This tank is by far the best tank you can get on amazon for this low of a price. I liked the one I originally bought so much that I came back and ordered every color available. The material is thin but very comfortable and perfect for lifting. This is my first amazon review, I felt the need to endorse this product because it is by far the best investment I have made so far off of Amazon. Great product, 11 out of 10, would recommend to a friend

PROS:-Unbeatable value for money-Excellent quality, will not shrink or loose color in the laundry.-Comfortable to wear.CONS:-XXL may have been designed for folks with a large gut, not so much body builder-types. I lift weights, and have large shoulders and pecs, and big arms, but a 34" waist. Above my abdomen, this is a perfect fit. However, pectorals down, it really flows like a maternity dress and does look a bit odd! XL is a perfect fit around my gut, but then the chest and shoulder areas are too tight. Since these won't break the bank, I recommend you try one of each size before placing any sort of bulk order!

Some of the reviews here are so much of the I'm so disappointed I didn't get something for nothing. These are not the same quality as the Russell tops I have from ten years ago and I do wish I could find those again. However for under$10 these are exactly what I expect to get and I love them for workouts. If you have the physique to wear a tank in the gym, get it. If you don't, don't. I don't like to spend$30 for a top I wear an hour and a half a day and then throw in the wash.

Recieved the package in a little over a week and it arrived in an enveloped and enclosed in plastic was the shirt. The material is strong and thick, yet breathable enough for the heavier workouts. It fits like a slim fit shirt should and does not expose too much of the back and chest which can be a pro or a con for others. Will definitely return to grab a few more colours as the two I have recieved have seen their share of use already. No shrinkage after the wash and all around a great shirt to workout in or a hot summer day.

It fits well and appear to be made well.

The screen printing on the inside back of the shirt is large enough to notice, especially when working out and sweaty.It sticks to your upper back. Why would an athletic company screen print such a large size indicator on the inside?I really wish it were a tag that could be cut off or simply an "LG made in El Salvador"
